Britton Coffee Co - McSherrystown reviews
18I'm big about supporting small business and I figured I'd give them time before I left a review. Today was my third time here. On the outside it don't look like much, once you head inside it's a bustling small town coffee shop. Let's talk about service to start service is normally always good you got smiling faces to greet you once you walk in. The manager Jason is a good fit for this place. Service is timely and prompt. Donuts are goid quality there not dry like a typical donut, there still light and spongy with moisture. It makes for a nice bite. You would think that there overly sweet with all the flavors they normally have. Like today I had a m&m cookie dough donut. I expected to be hit with a lot of sweet. But the donut it self balances the sweetness of the frosting with the m&m and cookie crumbs. My only problem is the price, for the size of the donut don't match the price. Yes I'll take quality over quantity any day. That's why the price for the donuts dont bother me as much. Now the coffee is a different story. It's overly priced and average. 3 dollars and change for a large. The large don't even equate to dunkin large for the same price. Same with the frappe the charge the same price as Starbucks for the same price. When starbucks is clearly larger. I get supporting local small business. And they are definitely a good small bussniness. Just can't justify the price for what you get. The coffee is average nothing real special about it. The donuts are something to rave about. I was hoping after all this time as well they would have a kitchen to make breakfast sandwiches. Once that happens ill go back one more time to try them. So all in all it's alright the only thing in my opinion that separates them from the competition is the donuts. If you've never been here before I do recommend giving it a shot.
I get a chamomile lavender iced tea every time and new donut. Service is always great and they always rememebr my order. Also the definitely know how to hire good people. Love the caffeine free options as well and dairy free options
Converted bank- they absolutely nailed the design. Coffee & pastries are excellent! Everything you could want in an independent coffee shop.
Love this place! It is so nice to just sit and relax or talk with a few people. Staff is always kind and the drinks are made perfectly! They also have fun events like games at the shop.
Fabulous coffee drinks. Did an awesome job with renovating the building, and it's very welcoming.
One of Hanover’s best businesses. Service, food, and atmosphere is consistently excellent across all locations. Communication about events, feature items, and things happening around the shop are always readily available on Britton’s well-kept social media. It is so valuable for Hanover to have a productive, positive place for people to spend time that doesn’t involve drugs/alcohol. This is important because it gives the kids somewhere to spend time after school, a place for students to study, and others to spend time enjoying each other’s company in an inviting atmosphere. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for the community that Britton is open until 6: 00 PM on most days and how well-run this business has been from its beginnings as a renovated horse trailer!
Great coffee and super friendly folks. I've been there quite a few times, and each time has been delightful! The medium caramel macchiato is delicious!
Great Coffee, Very nicely done inside. Only downside is that the music is really loud for a coffee shop.
As always the people at Britton are gracious and kind! Walked through the drive thru today while on a walk with my dog, hoping they had Venmo but they did not. They offered me coffee anyway and water for my dog. LOVE the caramel cold brew! Be assured I’m on my way back to offer to pay for my drink and pay it forward for someone else!
Bonus- got to see a student of mine from many years ago! Thanks for saying hi, Kayla!
This my first time going to the Mcsherrystown location. I got the cookies and cream frappe. Was hoping for the cookies and cream donuts but they were not there yet from the other location was alittle bummed but it was okay. I will definitely be back… on Sat I taking my daughter there. The service was amazing, very welcoming
This little coffee shop was cute and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and so were the guests! While doing my work, multiple guests struck up conversations with me, which you get see very often. The donut was delicious and the Oreo cold foam latte was out of this world. There is even a kid area in corner for the children to play barista. I will say that the kids playing can make it a loud atmosphere if you’re trying to work, but it’s nothing headphones can’t block out. If you don’t feel like leaving your car there is a drive up window. This place is a gem and I cannot wait to come back!
Our most recent stop of local coffee shops. Glad we did! Not knowing we went to the newly opened location in McSherrystown. We didn't see a sign, only a flag displaying open on what appeared to be a bank. Low and behold, it was the spot. Not sure what awaited us on the inside. Much to our surprise it was a great experience! From the warm welcome, to awesome decor and amazing lattes and local baked goods. Hubby did want a bagel but he informed us they were out of original cream cheese, which was a bit odd since it was still early. I got a scone & hubby got a cinnamon roll, which they gladly warmed up. Hubby liked the coffee, just was a bit strong for his liking. I enjoyed mine. The inside was amazingly transformed from a bank to a coffee shop. We spoke to Jay (the owner of this location) who welcomed us & told us they have another location in Hanover. We will certainly be back and try the other location at some time. Parking at the building was a bit limited and drive through was hopping. Enjoy the photos and definitely worth a try if you are in the area!
I met a friend for a coffee date this morning. We wanted to try somewhere new, as well as support a local business. I enjoyed the atmosphere and decor. My drink tasted good. However, it was lukewarm when I received it. My friend ordered a hot caramel mocha but was served an iced mocha. I believe this mix-up was due to it being such a busy time. The drink did get corrected. These things will not keep me from visiting again.
One of the best Coffee Shops around! Britton, I am a huge fan and supporter of you guys! You all are killing it, and I am so happy for you all. I have never had a bad experience at either location.but more specifically let’s talk about McSherrystown location. INCREDIBLE! Staff, so friendly! Coffee, 10/10 everytime, Donuts, 10/10! I recommend!
I think I have found my new favorite coffee shop! My fiancé surprised me with the white chocolate mocha w/ strawberry cold foam this morning because I have been talking about wanting it for 2 weeks now non-stop. It was the best coffee I have had in a long time! I cannot wait to try the cookies n cream cold brew next week! Please keep the strawberry cold foam forever!
This is another shining example of what good work and kindness can bring. The Britton team has turned an old, empty bank into a thriving coffee shop that is clean, unique, and a place of positivity for the community. There are plenty of tables for remote working or hanging out with friends. The baristas are friendly and clearly take pride in what you do. A great second location, and it’s awesome that Britton is able to bring their mission to another part of town, making coffee and kindness more accessible than ever.
Do yourself a favor and drop everything and visit Britton Coffee in McSherrystown, PA! The service is outstanding, donuts are delicious and the Tommy RIFT mango tea will be part of my sweet dreams tonight. Can’t wait to visit again!
We LOVE Britton and are so excited they opened their second location in Mcsherrystown! Every single person who works here is spectacular. They go above and beyond to make you feel like you’re a part of their community and family. Absolutely recommend - I’d give it a zillion stars if I could.
