Bryn Mawr Extended Care Center

Bryan mawr helped my sister a lot. She is back to where she needs to be. Whenever there was an issue, there was someone there to rectify it immediately.

Brynmawr extended care really makes sure you’re taken cared of. Some days the food wasn’t the best and other days she loved it. Above all, the staff really makes you feel welcomed.

I recently visited an old friend here and the facility was very well-kept and clean. The nurses station was quite kind and created such an inviting environment! It was very different than what I normally see; truly a nice surprise.

The rehab here team is fantastic. My mother’s quality of life is the greatest it’s ever been. Thank you!

I’ve been here for physical therapy. No problems. The staff is courteous, kind, and respectful. The physical therapy is EXCELLENT. Thanks to ruby in admissions!

The administrator never seems to be there. Constant voicemail. The director of nursing and supervising nurse never answer the phone. Constant voicemail. Are they understaffed? Probably. Impossible to get assessments, evaluations,
plans for short term or long term for your loved ones. Is there a clinical team for the patient? Who knows! What is the schedule for PT? Who knows? What is their current medical status? Not sure,
haven’t read the chart! Communication is horrible.

My grandmother has resided there for the past 5 years. It is a clean, bright, uncluttered, professional small bed transitional home for all walks of life. It is very social. Gender and age is diverse, and my grandmothers room mate was the loveliest lady. Her family was just as kind to my grandmother. The current director is affecting the continuity of the care. He has no business in the elder care or rehab business. He has ignored a critical black mold problem in the facility. The incompetence of leadership is the problem.

Adding to the review, May 2023,3.7 stars is the review standard? I was there last year, I didn’t like the buzz i got from the negativity! My Uncle and mothers job is to not watchdog the basic care of a woman who is of record breaking age!
Poorly trained underpaid staff is the excuse? Who is th director of this place? And whose paying him, and how much? Well that’s being found out on a level that will make sure that this isn’t happening again!

I find Bryn Mawr Extended Care excellent!
They have taken excellent care of my mother. My mother suffers from Dementia and she has a fractured hip, nursing staff has been very attentive to her needs.

I am a Hospice Care Consultant for Compassus Hospice. We have several patients at Bryn Mawr Extended Care, and the quality of care has been impeccable. They deliver seamless, fully integrated care with our Hospice team, providing the patient and family with comfort and peace during a difficult time. They make a wonderful care-delivery partner.

My brother complained he was not feeling well and they told him nursing will come. Nursing checked on him 8 hours later and when she did talk with him and checked him she told him he is on the list to see the doctor. Two weeks or more went by no doctor. I called complained and then they told him he can go to his own doctor with no assistance. He has no legs and need assistance. Then they told him if hedo not like it he can call 911 no assistance. They said they don't like when he complained so they changed his room where he was by himself to a room were he was unable to defend himself when I patient kept attacking him remember he cannot defend himself. Then when he came back from the hospital they put him in a room were the patient screen all night. He is unable to get sleep and his anxiety will cause him to get sick. They are not giving him his meals very late meals or none. He has to take his medicine with his meals. He feel like he is being neglected.

I have been a resident here for a little over 4 months and have had a great experience. Crystal, Roy and the entire staff has been extremely helpful. I am personally coming from a career in a skilled nursing facility and can attest that everyone here has compassion for those in need. I def recommend.
