Tom, James and the whole team at Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab were really top notch in helping to get me back on my feet after knee surgery. This was a difficult time for me both physically and emotionally, and the team’s skill and caring, as well as the community and positive energy at BMSR, really gave me a sense of purpose. I have made progress every session and I can’t recommend them highly enough!

This is the best PT/Rehab practice on the main line — if you're serious about getting better, go here. I've gone to a few other places and found the experience frustrating. At Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab, the team quickly had me exercising at an appropriate (difficult, but comfortable) level in order to regain sports function. They used massage and ice at the beginning to help reduce the swelling in my ankle but quickly moved me along the recovery curve. By the end of the month and a half I spent with Kyle and Steve, I was jumping and running again. I was worried I'd never run again but they fixed me right up.

They see all kinds of patients, from old to young, at various different levels of fitness. They schedule efficiently and they're very good about getting you in and out for your session without wasted time, even as they handle many patients. There's always a good energy inside the clean, well-lit, and well-air-conditioned facility. I'm not normally a morning person but I would wake up excited to head over and get to work.

Special shoutout for the office and administrative staff, who make intake and scheduling and rescheduling as easy as it can be. Beth and Jamar in particular are kind and very helpful.

Every other patient I talked to had the same story — Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab is better than anywhere else on the main line. They'll make you work, but you'll get better, and isn't that what you're going to rehab for?

They didn't pay me to say this I'm just extremely satisfied with the care I received. I will be sending my family and friends here in the future.

Kyle and the staff at BMSR are top shelf. I went there for a pinched nerve in my neck and within a couple of weeks it was gone. I highly recommend this practice

Great Atmosphere! Helped me get back to sport and feeling pain free after many months of being in pain. Tom is great and really knows whats he is doing. Athlete or not, this is the place to be if you are in pain and looking to heal up.

After tearing my ACL I came to BMSR. At the time I was just starting my senior year of high school and am a competitive swimmer. My injury is not common for swimmers, but Tom was always looking for exercises to replicate motions I would do in the pool. He helped me create a plan for returning back to the water. I worked mainly with Tom and Kyle, however worked with all the staff. Although the recovery process was tough, the encouraging and uplifting environment created made the process more enjoyable. The PTs here push people while staying cautious. Some times I would want to rush things, but very glad I listened to them and did the process right the first time around. After eight months I competed again and was able to get my best times. I am now currently on the swim team at Auburn University and have had a successful season. I would not have been able to bounce back if it weren’t for BMSR. I still check in with them from school and they are always happy to answer my questions. Would highly recommend going here for rehab.

I’ve recently concluded “doing time” at Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab (BMSR). When my physical therapy (PT) started seven months ago, I had just had rotator cuff repair surgery on my right shoulder. My arm was completely frozen and in a sling, and I was in significant pain. Constantly moving my shoulder as it healed was necessary to prevent scar tissue and “seizing. ” This meant lots of VERY painful stretching sessions at BMSR with Steve and Kyle. I had to go for one-and-half-hour sessions three times a week. Going to PT felt a little like jail at first.

Luckily, the folks at BMSR are professional, experienced, and, most of all, immensely human, even non-human: their secret weapon is Erin’s emotional support dog “Elvis, ” who wags his tail and provides a friendly wet nose to anyone who needs it.

Through my worst pain, they let me know that things were going to be ok. Although I was surrounded by patients of all backgrounds including youthful athletes with sports injuries, they insisted that my recovery would be at my own pace. Steve constantly reminded me that “everyone heals differently. ” Steve went out of his way to create unique exercises tailored to my own goal of eventually getting back on my mountain bike.

Progress was slow, but when it happened, Tom would provide a “yaay” from across the room, even though he wasn’t officially my therapist. Being a long term patient, or a “lifer” as I called it, I observed a lot of the morning routine at BMSR. The therapists have their standing work desks set up right in the middle of the therapy floor, so that even when they’re doing paperwork, they interact with their patients. Shanna would often ask her patients specific questions about their weekend, remembering every one of them in detail.

Eventually, BMSR made me an expert in my own recovery. Kyle, and his father, Mike, provided constant helpful advice and details about what was going on as my body healed.

By the time I was discharged, BMSR wasn’t a jail at all. It was an institution of friends who transformed me from extremely compromised to a place where I could return to the biking and tennis I love.

I had p.t. At Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab for shoulder tendonitis / bursitis with Kyle Miller. Kyle evaluated me thoroughly, gave me challenging exercises, pushed appropriately greater weights & resistances, & assigned home activities. I am pleased with my progress & current level of functioning. Thank you, Kyle & BMSR!

I have had pain in both of my knees for some years. While taking care of my aging mother, my knee pain increased and began affecting my left hip and lower back. I had started walking bent over because it was too painful to stand up straight while walking. At the age of 60, I have known many who had, injections, knees & hip replacements and back surgery. I figured it was my turn.

I scrolled through my Facebook page one day and saw words that leaped out - knee pain treatment without medicines, injections or surgery. It was a workshop for knee pain. What impressed me the most about the workshop is that the therapist explained the anatomy of the knee and the different types of knee pain and causes.

After my first session, my son told me he could see a difference in my movement. I diligently incorporated the at home exercises with my therapy sessions. After about 4 -6 wks, I am now able to stand straighter as I walk with much less pain. There have been some days when I had no pain.

I can now see I can have a much more active life. I am so thankful to Tom, Erin, Steve, Kyle and Ian. This staff rocks!

BMSR is a wonderful place to rehabilitate from your surgery or accidents. I’ve been a patient here and have great respect for the therapists. My family members have been here as well and are very satisfied with their results.

I’m 64 years old with a ton of PT in my history. Best facility I’ve experienced - timely, patient centered, efficient, thorough. Many thanks.

Had lower back problems a few years ago and recently a serious shoulder problem and both times the staff at Bryn Mawr got me back to almost 100% without the need for an operation. The staff is very knowledgeable, professional and reassuring. I would highly recommend them for treatment.
