Budget Car Rental, Allentown PA

Unacceptable! You know how many cars are being rented. STAFF APPROPRIATELY! I amongst many others were waiting in line for over an hour to rent a car we already paid for and did pre check in! What are we waiting for? If there's an issue everyone gets stuck! How? Why? ! Would you have only 1 person scheduled to work EVER! I NEED MY TIME COMPENSATED!

I have been using Budget for years, traveling back and forth to visit my daughter. The pick-up and drop off process is always easy and their prices are always better than their competitors!

Quick transaction time and a free upgrade to an awesome car!

Changing my review because i was charged for tolls on the Verrazano Bridge in NY, when i never left the state of PA. Not happy with the run-around I'm getting trying to get refunded almost $50!

I GOT THE FOLLOWING NEGATIVE RATING IMMEDIATELY ON TUE. 07/18 ANSWERED FROM MY LOCATION IN NEW RINGGOLD, PA AND RECEIVED NO RESPONSE.

1. I did not receive the "KIA" car I had booked with UNITED, which is not the main reason for my negative rating!
2.the treatment of your employee when she was picked up on 11.07.around 10: 00 a.m. At the Allentown Airport budget counter was very unfriendly to a German guest and gave the actual reason!
Although I pointed out to her in the presence of my wife that I am a German citizen (which she could see from my driver's license, ID card and credit card) and that I didn't understand much English and that she had the opportunity (DIE DUTY!) to print out a German-translated contract in the BUDGET COMPUTER SYSTEM, she gave me one in ENGLISH and asked me in a sharp tone to sign the boxes she had checked, otherwise she couldn't hand over the car to me, which I had to do squat!
I was not aware that I was taking out various insurance policies against my will!
RESULT: after returning the car on July 14,2023 at around 6: 00 p.m, I immediately received an INVOICE that was a total of $482.22 more expensive than what I had signed with UNITED AIRLINES ($343.84)! That's why I went to the airport with an interpreter today on Saturday, 15.07.23 80 to clarify the situation!
The lady at the budget counter (she had also handled the return of the car very professionally on Friday, July 14 at around 6: 00 p.m.) was very helpful and was able to answer the interpreter’s essential questions, including that the $200.00 deposit has already been instructed to be repaid! She also remembered my wife and I that we were on 7/11.had very exhausting discussions with the colleague!
I demand from BUDGET the repayment of the "insurance amount" of $ 282.22 that was foisted on me! My bank has been instructed not to pay the amount in advance!
I will also immediately inform my rental car contract partner UNITED of this incorrect process! Herbert F Tiefenl

Check engine light kept coming on, car had no power, gave me a car that I didn't want when they told me that the car that I reserved had already gone out, overall I really bad experience, I don't think I'll use them again in the future for personal for corporate if I can help it

When I picked my care, I had to return it for a low tire, left and drove again and the tire was low again, drove it back again, this time I requested a replacement, got the new car then I drove for 30 minutes and the passenger side mirror fell out and was hanging by a cable, pulled over to secure it before it broke the glass, returned that vehicle and requested a refund because 4 times back and forth to the airport in 24 hours was too much. They charged for a day and gave me a I am sorry. Will never go back to Budget I thought they was a good rental company

Picked up a car at my destination in PA, Budget staff was extremely efficient and courteous. I was a new Fast Track customer (signed up pre-COVID but my first time to rent) and the employee who checked me in went thru all the advantages with me and upgraded me to a SUV. Check-in at the end of my rental was quick and easy

Very quick and easy pick up and drop off. Friendly staff she was super helpful when I needed to extend my rental. Will return if ever needed!

This place is a joke i called to ask before coming there if they accepted debit card they told me they did with a $300 deposit and a soft credit check which i didnt mind at all when i showed up they ended up telling me it was credit card only. Ended up wasting my time coming there and having to find a car rental else where. They dont seem to know what they accept at all. Better off going to enterprise in easton. Avoid this place unless your flying in

Unless you can pay an extra $1000 for insurance don’t come here! $500 for a cracked windshield! GO TO ENTERPRISE!

Filed a report online for an act of nature damage (cracked windshield from a pebble on the highway) when I returned the car I received a charge for $486. FOR A CRACKED WINDSHIELD. Yes I could’ve opted for insurance, for an extra $1000 FEE! I RECOMMEND ANYONE STAY AWAY GO TO ENTERPRISE THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS! I COULD'VE REPLACED THE WHOLE WINDSHIELD MYSELF FOR WAY LESS!

I was very happy with my service from Budget. I'd like to give Kathy a special thank you & high compliment for her service from pick up to drop off. She was extremely helpful. Not only did I keep the car an extra week, but I also forgot a couple items in the car that she set aside for me to come back to pick up. One of the most important things that I'd like to point out about Kathy is that she is the only person that works for Budget in the Allentown office that will actually answer the phone and not allow it to get transferred to their 800 nationwide call center. If it weren't for her, I don't know that I would have been able to get my belongings back.
