Burgh'ers Brewing Lawrenceville reviews
16The food taste-wise is a solid B, portions are small and totally not worth the price. I got a side of Mac & Cheese and it was VERY al dente.
20 dollars for a cheese burger and 1/2 order of fries? If you’re asking, “where does all the money go? ” - it’s apparently not to the employees because the owner wants you to tip, too. So enjoy your 25$ diner burger
We stopped in for lunch in September 2023 on the last day of a trip to Pittsburgh. Awesome beers and amazing burgers and fries. We'll be back on our next trip!
Just a bit disappointed this experience. I came here shortly after moving to Pittsburgh and loved the chicken sandwich and rosemary fries! Today I had my spouse in town for a visit, as we do long distance. While exploring Lawrenceville, I highly recommended that we have lunch at Burgh’ers Brewing. Upon arrival my spouse posted a reel which was immediately shared by the business’ page and we began to enjoy our drinks before our food came out. I’m always suspicious of servers that don’t write down orders.
We decided to split the chicken sandwich and rosemary fries with a small Mac n cheese. We were one of two tables in the restaurant……… The sandwich showed up with limp, sad fries not fried to order crispy and tossed with rosemary which is how they were the last time I came. She also forgot to put in our Mac n cheese. When I brought up that we had ordered the rosemary fries, instead of bringing rosemary fries she brought us a pathetic little cup of chopped rosemary to pour over our fries. I decided at that point that we didn’t need the macaroni and cheese anymore and at the end of the meal when we received the check she had charged us for an additional side of rosemary fries as if she hadn’t been the one to make the mistake of not writing down the order. Before she took the check I asked her if she could take the rosemary fries off and instead she still charged us the up charge for the upgraded side, again, as if she hadn’t made the mistake. And when I mentioned that we had never received our macaroni and cheese? She argued with me that she didn’t hear me ask for those, accusing me of not being clear with an order she should’ve been writing down in the first place. The food was delicious, the beer was great, the service could be better for a restaurant with 3 customers total in it.
Would like to come back, just embarrassed that I raved about it to my spouse who had to watch me express my dissatisfaction with our experience to an employee only to feel wronged in the end over being charged extra and accused of being unclear with my order of two menu items.
Great burgers and fries. Love the spice of the Mac and cheese. Nice spectrum of locally brewed beer to please any palate
First time stopping in after driving past a thousand times. Everything was phenomenal! Korean chicken sandwich was incredible, beers were delicious, service was impeccable. Will definitely be back!
The foods phenomenal. I've been here twice and both times I got the Korean fried chicken sandwich and it was amazing! Definitely recommend that if you aren't sure of what to get!
I used to go here all of the time when there was a good bartender named Nick (I work close by and would stop after work), and now that he’s gone (not sure if he moved or went elsewhere?) I can’t stand the place. There’s a really awful blonde woman bartender now that is so unprofessional, lazy, and honestly rude. Really used to be a fun spot though!
My wife and I both came to the conclusion that the Oakland Burger was one on the best burgers we’ve ever had. The fries are top tier and the drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. Also, they offer a Gluten Free bun. This place is a must go.
Great food & awesome beers! We love the burger selection and the pickle-brined fried chicken sandwich is amazing! And so are the dirty fries! One of our fave go-to's for dinner.
We Can't wait to go back!
Had the mushroom blend burger, excellent! The beers were better than anticipated (as so many other Pittsburgh breweries seem to come to mind to me for beer quality before Burghers, glad to be off base, the beers were solid+)
Sat at the bar, service was excellent!
The waiter/server believes that ridiculing customers won’t be overheard. Atmosphere was so undesirable that we only had drinks and left. The only table in the restaurant that had any signs of life after the customers left was left uncleaned throughout the duration of our visit even though we were the only other customers in the dining area. The beer is mediocre and I would not recommend
Really wanted to love this place, but we didn’t even like it:/ 2 stars were because they did take the soggy “dirty” fries off. Yes, they were tasty but I was hungry. It wasn’t cheese at the bottom, it was soup. The garnish was even turned.
I want going to send them back until but, we got our burgers and they were awful. Super thin, more toppings then anything and the coleslaw was bland and boring. The beer was okay tho! Our server was personable, but on her cell phone more than anything. Maybe she was answering emails for work? Idk.
A laid-back atmosphere with a tasty drink menu, and slamming burgers. I ordered a bun-less burger, and they didn't disappoint. Mushrooms, onions, lettuce and bacon. So delicious!
Food was decent, got a burger, very over-priced for what you get and the waitstaff is not in a hurry to feed you. The might do better at dinner but when I'm stopping for lunch with a client, we don't have all day to wait for a slightly better than Burger King burger. Beer came fairly fast, perhaps the slow food service is a tactic to increase beer sales.
Really awful place. Full of creepy waitstaff. Everything was overpriced and beer was flat.
