Butch's Place Family Restaurant reviews
18Great little stop to enjoy with family for brunch while we were in town! Came in with a party of five around 11a before wife and I left town with mixed breakfast/ lunch order. I had the Cajun Breakfast which was veery week done with a good mix of spices.
The service was fast and the wait staff was very friendly. We were greeted at the door by one of the waitresses who seated us immediately and provided us menus and took our drink orders. Our ordering wasn't rushed and she was able to answer our questions about what we wanted to order. The food was amazing the portion sizes were very good. I cannot wait to go back and try one of their other kinds of Egg Benedict! If you haven't been there you owe it to yourself to go!
First time there and was very impressed with the service and food! Will definitely be returning!
This place is ok if u wanna spend alot of money on breakfast. My wife and I brought my 7 year old daughter here. We all ordered breakfast. The service is great! The wait time for food was a little long only to get under portioned food for in my opinion alot of money. Quality of food was average to other breakfast places. Over 50 dollars for 2 adults and 1 kid.for breakfast.
Great hidden gem! The food is fantastic and the servers are very friendly and right on it!
The quality of the food has really dropped, and the prices were raised. Everything we got was underwhelming and bland, poorly cooked, and overpriced. We used to love this place, but we sadly won't be back.
What a lovely experience and a delightfully delicious meal! I highly recommend Butch's Family Restaurant!
We saw they were listed on Bring Fido for pet friendly restaurants so we decided to stop while traveling with our family and our dogs. The breakfast was unbelievably delicious. Most of us got fancy pancakes and everyone was happy and full when we left. Next time we're traveling in this area we plan on stopping again. The staff was friendly and attentive. Just note the outdoor pet friendly seating is not covered so it may be either too hot or too cold to be useful.
We haven't been to Butch's in a while, but glad we went! Great menu, too many great options to choose from!
Best Breakfast place in Erie! Food is delicious, staff is friendly & restaurant is clean!
Nice diner with great food and service. We had breakfast and it was served as ordered. Busy place but worth the wait. Few little shops nearby to find local wares.
We went for Pancakes- chocolate chip for me, pineapple upside down for her. Both were terrific. Sides of bacon were good. Service was very good; attentive without overdoing it. We'll be back.
My wife and I have had breakfast at Butch's many times. Always a good experience. Good food, good price, good quantity, good service.
NOT WORTH THE WAIT! Stopped in for a quick Saturday breakfast with my family, but we waited over 15 minutes just for initial coffee and water service, and then almost an hour for our food after that. When the food did arrive, two orders of toast were missing - and our server never came back to the table to check on us (or allow us an opportunity to ask for the toast - although, if we had, I'm sure it would have taken another 15 to 20 minutes). Food was very average. I raised the long wait times and lack of server attention with the cashier - just as some constructive feedback - and was met with a half-apology about staffing shortages. There are several better, faster breakfast options in Erie than Butch's Place.and we will be going there from now on.
We didn’t get a chance to try the food, so I can’t speak as to the quality. All I can tell you is the wait time was unacceptable. We received our beverages in a timely fashion, but for the next 40+ minutes we didn’t see or hear from our waitress. Since we had appointments to keep, we left a few bucks for the drinks on the table and just walked out.
I’ve been driving past here for years and decided to try it today with my husband. Well, now we know.
Absolutely horrible. We had such high hopes for this place as it’s in a great location and was busy. We showed up over an hour before closing and we ordered eggs, potatoes and toast. Our food didn’t arrive for over an hour. It should NOT take that long for breakfast. The staff seemed to have no concern that it was taking so long, nor did they have an explaination. When the food showed up it was awful. The toast was drenched in what I can only describe as movie theater fake butter, the bacon was petrified, the eggs were so dry, and the country fried steak was all breading and the meat hard. We should have just gotten up to leave but we wanted to give them a chance. We will never go back and I suggest you don’t either.
1st time visit, Best country fried steak I've had! I don't know whats in the batter but your tastebuds will love it! From the moment we walked in to leaving everyone was welcoming and genuinely nice. It may be considered small but they have a big impact! Will definitely be back and tell everyone to visit.
