Cake Life Bake Shop reviews
17Friendly employees, delicious treats! I'm a huge fan of the herby goat cheese biscuit. Everything else I've ever gotten here has been great as well
Such a cute spot. Relatively over priced but that’s everything in todays world. Especially a speciality shop. Everything was baked so beautifully. I wanted to try everything. But we got the peanut butter marshmallow cookie and it did not disappoint.
If there was a way you could taste a rainbow - this is the place! Everything is absolutely delicious there is not a single cake, cookie, cupcake, coffee I mean EVERYTHING is delicious. The cupcakes are well balanced in flavor, size, moisture, ratio of cake to icing, light and airy! The flowered pistachio cookies are works of art, delicate, the perfect density and crunch, but also soft. But, my all time favorite are the pop tarts - the fresh fruit filling is amazing then, the kid in you gets excited for the sprinkles on top, plus extra drizzle of sugar deliciousness. The space itself is also so inviting, and bright, and is filled with really unique small gift items - birthday cards, unique fun candles for every age, novelty plates, napkins, and mugs. It’s like a one stop shop of rainbow magic! Lily your food is out of this world! Brian behind the counter is super helpful in making best selections in case you’ll be traveling a bit and want to be sure everything will stay fresh. Hump Day Happinees!
Excellent bakery. In an area with other good bakeries this place is my top choice. Good coffee drinks like bananas foster late, brownies and other bars that they're most famous for, and cookies and pop tarts that are also good. Strongly recommend if you're in the area
They are still asking for masks to buy a cupcake. The city doesn't require it. It's a cupcake to go.
Went with my boyfriend a number of times during the summer since 2018, and they've haven't disappointed us yet
Super patient and helpful staff, everything was delicious and well-baked (nothing was overly sweet!), will definitely be going back. Cappuccino was uncharacteristically good for a bakery.
I picked up the raspberry and lemon cake for my wife birthday and she absolutely loved it. Rich smooth taste
Omg! Found this place while visiting a friend in Philadelphia and I was very excited that I did. They bake everything on site and it's fresh. They also have expresso drinks to go with your baked goods. Yay! I got the lemon bars and they were amazing and there was another treat that I couldn't remember the name of it but it was so good. Just know if you go here, you're going to get something that makes you want to slap your mama cuz it takes you home!
Customer service not nice at all. Drinks made wrong and baked goods are over priced. Never again!
There’s somethin real special about their chocolate chip cookie. Just a top notch chocolate chip cookie.
Went to buy some cookies as a gift for a friend. There was a box of the dad-bod cookies on the counter. I went to pick it up to look at them as anyone would who’s interested in buying something, when the girl helping me behind the counter quickly grabbed them off of me. She says these are display only! I asked if they were glass? As I do not understand why she reacted that way. She said no, I went on to say ok well how would I know this particular box is not for sale? Customers coming into your shop for the first time will be interested in buying things that look for sale. If something is not to be touched then do not put it out or put a sign up to prevent confusion. A simple way to handle this situation would of been to say: Sure you can look at the box but we will pack a new one for you. I am
sure everything is tasteful, the shop itself is very nice. Please do better with customer service.
Delicious. Got coffee and treats and everything tasted amazing. Lots of flavors and types of baked goods to chose from.
Ordered 2 dozen cupcakes (>$100) and drove them home after securing the boxes. All the cupcakes fell over as the boxes they use are super poor quality. The cupcakes were destroyed and in one pile. I would not spend that kind of money on cupcakes there again. I did call to inform them that they needed to get new boxes which they shared they were aware of the boxes not working. No one mentioned the issue when the handed me the order and they knowing used the faulty boxes.
The pastry (no frosting) I ordered and ate was quite delicious. Would consider getting something I can carry out to eat immediately but not sure I would want to give my business here knowing they knew what would happen once I was out the door.
The dish looked so appetizing that I forgot to take a picture before!
I forgot the name of my dish but it had Carmel, pecan, etc! It was so delicious~
Highly recommend everyone to come here for a quick bite or a dessert after your dinner (or lunch).
Fast WiFi here too if you want to get some work done. Very clean, and the temperature is comfortable. Haven't tried their Coffe, but will def be back for it!
Super friendly staff, it's hard not to leave them a tip.
Overall, great place.
Look forward to trying more!
Absolute favorite bakery in Philly. Everything is quality. Great service. An item as simple as a cookie is SO GOOD! You can tell a lot of effort went into crafting the recipes. AND THE CAKE! To die for. Don't even get me started. I'm a long time fan and highly recommend this place to anyone in the Philly area.
Love, love, love Cake Life! I stumbled upon it years ago and it quickly became one of my favorite bakeries.
