Camp Hill Plaza Apartment Homes reviews
10 "I recently moved into Camp Hill Plaza Apartment Homes, and I've been extremely satisfied with my experience so far. Both the Property Manager and Leasing Specialist were not only friendly but also highly professional. They efficiently facilitated my move-in process, allowing me to settle in quickly.
My apartment is wonderful; it instantly feels like home. Additionally, I've had great interactions with the maintenance team. When I mentioned that I felt a bit too tall for the shower, they promptly ordered and installed a new shower head riser to accommodate my needs. Their responsiveness and willingness to address my concerns have left me truly pleased with this complex.
The inside of the apartments are not bad and they have decent amenities, but they nickel and dime the hell out of you. $80 in sewer, service charge seperate, even trash removal separate. I paid all but $200 of my $1600 in rent plus hidden fees and they charge $141 in late fees. That's insane to penalize someone 10% of their rent when they paid 88% of the balance on time. I'll be ending my lease after the year.
Living here for over 8 years and never had a problem. Maintenance answers works orders promptly and gets the jobs done efficiently. One of the best apartment complexes I have lived in.
There is 0 chance I would ever recommend Camp Hill Plaza to anyone.
Before I begin, let me state that I have lived many places because I move for work. I have NEVER left a poor review for any place that I've ever lived, until now.
Our apartment was not ready on the move in day of our lease, so we were forced to delay our move-in for a few days. We should have taken this as a sign. When we finally moved in, there were numerous issues with the apartment. The "landlord special" was the first obvious thing: white cracked paint covering everything from outlets to door hinges and everything in between. Bugs, rats, holes in walls to the outside, holes in screens, you name it, they have it.
Not to mention, it's not uncommon to pay $150+ in fees on top of whatever you're quoted for rent. Bill for the last month of our residency, not including electric which is billed separately:
Water $48
Sewer $79
Gas $58
I would have given this complex 1 star. The second star is for the Maintenance Team who was very prompt, kind, and helpful throughout our stay.
P. S. When we rented a UHaul to move out, the UHaul employee noticed our address and told us to leave and never go back because she also had a poor experience here.
The office was so nice! It was the best experience we have ever had applying and moving in. We feel so blessed to be part of this community!
Hidden exorbitant costs. Very old apartments. Stay at the Penn Harris hotel they have discounted rates for long term dwelling. The costs are nearly half of what this place charges you. This place is a terrible environment dirty and infested.
So far it is good experience for me. I can’t tell that much because I am still new to this neighborhood. I am just hoping it is safe and people are nice.
I would not live at that place. Dirty living spaces, small kitchen and full of bugs. I never seen any pest control or any sort of serious cleaning of the premises. Stairs are black with the level of dirt and cruds. I will post some pictures of sliver fish that keep crawling on the walls and ceiling
Wonderful, absolutely wonderful people that work hard to help people have homes. Thank you Penelope for helping us finally have a home
I've thought this review over carefully and want to be completely fair about it.
PROS: *Office ladies* were very sweet to my dog and I (even grabbing a package for me that I had accidentally shipped there after move-out,) the dog park and pool amenities, and the company's willingness to work with my doctor and I to break our lease early (once properly documented.)
CONS: Giant hole in our ceiling for a MONTH from a pipe leak above us, they paint the bathtub bottoms with this slip-resistant paint that needed replaced twice and I still couldn't take a bath without floating pieces of latex paint, sloppily painted everything.and then a bill saying that we owe money for rent and pet fees on days that another tenant had already moved in and taken on their own lease!
There are better rentals in the area for the price we paid and the quality of the residences at Camp Hill Plaza Apartments.
