Candy's Corner Cafe reviews
18Food was beyond amazing, environment was calm and relaxed, I got the wake up hottie and potatoes, and my boyfriend got the polish potato pancakes and sausage
The food tastes flat out bad the sausage and bacon taste like it's been sitting out then put in the fridge then used again. The decor makes it look like your in a dumpster. The floor is half clean and half filthy. The wait is terrible 45 minutes for a simple breakfast while at Denny's it take 15 -20 minutes. They are constantly running out of everything possible but water. The menu says farm fresh while saw frozen food from a back storage closet being brought out. If Gordon Ramsay ate there he would "my god this frozen not fresh and my god this is bad. I seen the staff drinking while working and it's like you working or are you just getting drunk. I'm surprised the heath department hasn't shut them down yet. The prices are terrible if it was fresh I would spend that much but frozen no way.
Husband tried once on weekend said was pretty good, so he took me to have dinner on one of the Tuesdays, ordered meat loaf, was cold in the center and the vegetables looked like either from can or leftover, I have never been back.
First time visiting this tiny Cafe. Very good. Friendly servers and the meals were tasty. Will 100% be eatting there again. Telling all the family and friends
Awesome place, great service warm atmosphere, delicious food! Would highly recommend and definitely plan to come back!
Good service, yummy food, good prices big portions. Chill atmosphere with a free fun jukebox.
The food was great.my friend had chicken and waffles. I had Candy's classic breakfast. 2 eggs.your choice of bacon or sausage.home fries.they were real potatoes.not from a bag.with a little onion and peppers. I really liked them.and it comes with toast. The size coffee mug they use. I didn't need refills. I like that because.usually after I get my coffee just right.then the server wants to put more coffee in my cup.so I liked the big cup of joe. It is a very small space.and they recommend cash.which worked for me.
This is a great place to get breakfast. I had the banana split waffles and I was amazed. Overall great atmosphere and fun place to get good food. I will definitely be back!
An awesome diner! One of the best i've been to! If you're a foodie like me, this should be on your bucket list of diner stops!
I enjoy going to Candy's Corner Cafe on Sunday mornings. The atmosphere is fun and bustling. The Servers are busy & friendly. The food is delicious.
Way to expensive. Explains why the parking lot was empty. The owner was very nice, food was good, but light on the ingredients for what you are paying.
Excellent food & service. Owner and employees are friendly. I have had breakfast & lunch here so far. One of the best sausage gravy & biscuits that you will find anywhere.
We stopped in for breakfast at 11: 00 am, breakfast served all day till 3pm.service was quick and with a smile. Our order was taken promptly and by memory alone! No mistakes. We tried the ham and cheese omelet (not on menu, but we were told they can make about anything we would want. Home fried potatoes with peppers and onions were very good. I had the meat lovers frittata. Loaded with ham, bacon, and sausage.salads and the homemade cheese burger soup the table had next to us also looked great. Great local spot, worth a first and second try for lunch is a must. They had a case with deserts and cakes as well.all food can be ordered to go as well. We'll be back soon.
Excellent! Pancakes big as hubcaps, extra thick bacon, home fries with yellow green and red peppers also onions! Loved it.
Oh my goodness, my wife and I stopped in yesterday as first time customers and were blown away! The server/ manager/ owner's daughter was super friendly and made us feel like we were family, she was very engaging without being intrusive. The food was great, we both had biscuits and gravy with home fries and my gosh the the serving was enormous! The sausage gravy was perfect in appearance, texture and flavor while the home fries were just right and served with green, red and yellow peppers. I defy anyone to tell me that a chain diner serves home fries like that! The coffee was very good, not the weak tasteless brew you find at most restaurants.
We can't wait to try lunch on our next visit!
Okay this is a hidden gem this is in Irwin.not many people know about this but the food is spectacular the service is great and the prices are good did I mention lots of food!
Great food and service. Friendly and warm atmosphere. Feels like family and friends your first time there.
Worst food and service ever! Went there to try their polish potato pancakes. Ordered the potato pancakes as a side with eggs benny. Asked waitress prior to ordering it if I could have no bacon or ham. She said yes. Kitchen must’ve decided differently because food came out opposite how I ordered. So when I asked the waitress she said she would take it back to the kitchen and fix it. Well a second later the waitress appeared with my dish with NOTHING changed. She said there’s no bacon it’s ham. I said I didn’t want ham. She again took my plate to the kitchen and in seconds returned with NOTHING changed and her response was the chef said he can’t make the eggs benedict without the ham. I said really ok whatever so I took a fork and easily moved the ham off the dish easily! I thought it was strange the kitchen chef said that and was absolutely unaccommodating and inflexible. I proceeded to try the potato pancakes which were the main reason I tried this restaurant. They were absolutely horrible, and didn’t even taste like real potatoes. I took two bites and left them and again had to remove bacon bits all over them. I considered saying something to the manager or staff but when I asked for my check I waited an additional 28 minutes for the check. While I waited and waited I watched a staff member sit on his phone while a customer waited to have their order taken. Also I am waiting and watching the owner or manager sit and talk instead if getting my check so I could leave and go eat something down the street since I was starved at this point. Didn’t really want to waste any more time in this terrible establishment! Once I left, I was talking to someone in the street and explained what had just happened asking if there were anywhere decent to grab a bite right now and they gave me a suggestion and said they had heard other bad things about this restaurant. Sure wish I had known! What a waste of money and time …. No flavor and and the few bites I did have tasted like play dough! Just learn from my experience and don’t bother going here!
