Canoe Creek State Park reviews
12Great place for the family or to head out on a hike. The lake is perfect. There is paddle boating and canoes available. I think it's one of the best spots around, by far!
We had a wonderful time at Canoe Creek on Labor Day weekend. We were there in the morning before it started to get more crowded. The lake and surrounding hills are beautiful, and we saw a number of ducks taking off from the water. They have a small beach and swimming area that appears well maintained, as well as boat rentals. We spent an hour on a paddle boat, which kept our granddaughter happy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There’s a snack/lunch bar - we’ll have to try it another time.
I take my kids here all summer long, they love it. The water doesn't get very deep in the swimming area, the sand beach is nice and they have a pretty good play ground. I did have my purse stolen from here this summer, and unfortunately they have no cameras anywhere which is kind of unsettling and they never caught the people who did it but dcnr was very helpful and on the case right away

I love coming home to this park.
I enjoyed myself when I visited here. I stayed for a week long vacation. There are juice walking trails. The swimming area is fun. Also, the snack stand is good.
Better than most State Parks. And the locals don't suck completely. Water is pretty clean. It appears to be very popular, a lot of people there even in the middle of the week. There are boat rentals, but nothing with a has motor. It's electric motors only. Bring your own kayak! Visit is worth a lazy afternoon if the weather is decent.
Really nice place to go swimming. You can rent canoes and paddle boats. There is a food stand there, too. The food prices are pretty good.
Nice little trail to go for a run on. Really nice beach you can get food there. Pretty chill place
Wonderful place to swim, but the fence around the beach could be considered dangerous. If there was an emergency, it could pose as an obstacle to anyone trying to save someone in the water.
Nice small park located close to Altoona. We stayed in a cabin operated by the park. The cabin was very modern and comfortable for our family of four.
Awesome place to visit! A lot of friendly people and the park is well maintained with Park Rangers on duty Beautiful views, great swimming and water activities and you can even rent a cabin! I highly recommend this Beautiful Park
Everything's overgrown. Shorelines. Fields. Debri throughout. You asked for my opinion. Low quality Maintenance. I remember being in better shape. The last few years seems like nobody cares about the place anymore.
