Captain Krab Cajun Seafood & Boil, Harrisburg PA

We went for an early 4pm dinner on a Wednesday and were the only patrons in the restaurant. Waitress communicated very throughly and answered questions well. The Captain Crab sauce is very similar to the Trifecta sauce at Angry Crab. The snow crab, shrimp, and mussels were cooked perfectly. Every mussel had its shell open which was excellent. Only bummer: BYOB.

My wife and I chose Captain Crab because we were looking for seafood and are especially fond of King Crab. King Crab being hard to find made Captain Crab an easy choice. What a disappointment. We ordered shrimp and show crab at $51 and added King Crab (1 lb) for $60. The two were combined in one boil and looked great when delivered to our table. The snow crab was above average, the shrimp tough and bland taste, but the King Crab was borderline awful. Maybe because it was in a boil and not steamed like we are accustomed to, but the taste was anything but the rich sweet taste you normally get with King Crab. In all fairness, we did not bring our disappointment to the attention of the staff (nor were we asked how things were) so they did not have the opportunity to respond. We were running late for a concert and did not want to take time. I just wanted to advise those looking for and willing to pay the premium for King Crab, that you may want to look elsewhere for that.

This was our first time here, and our server, Carrie, was a blast! It is a byob, and we weren't aware of this, but thankfully, Sheetz is right across the way. Everything was tasty. I was the only one to get a steamer bag. The other 2 don't really care for frozen seafood, but I was craving it badly. I wasn't sure I'd like crawfish. However, they taste very similar to lagostinos. Everyone left full and satisfied with their choices.

We went here for a Birthday lunch and it was great. It was not crowded at all and we got crayfish, muscles, headless shrimp, clams, and crab. The sauces the boil was in was excellent and the service was very friendly.

Always a great seafood boil. Wife and I got the Dungeness crabs "Let's shake it" option. I added in some broccoli. Crabs are always perfectly cooked, meat never sticks to the shells. Broccoli always still has a bite, never mushy. Been eating here for years, always, and I mean always great. Take the heat level seriously. Hot means hot, no joke hot. Applebee's hot would be "no spice" here haha. Tried Red Crab once out of curiosity, didn't compare and was more expensive. We are customers for life!

Visiting this area so we stopped in to try as we love seafood. Waitress was really nice. Ordered food and drinks. Drinks came out and my wife’s water tasted weird. Then appetizer of calamari came out. The calamari was thick long pieces. No rings not tentacles. The breading came off and the calamari was a dark tan color with a weird flavor. We canceled our order and paid our bill. Never going back.

I love this place I go on lunch with my girlfriend and I definitely go on my birthday the food is excellent and season 2 perfection.

Not only was the seafood exceptional, but the service was equally commendable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, guiding me through the options and suggesting some delightful pairings. They went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was top-notch.

This was my first time here and it was great! My boyfriend has been wanting to go for years so we decided to stop in and glad we did. Our server Kay was fantastic and gave us bomb recommendations. We had just recently come back from ocean city md and this blows any seafood boil he had there out of the water! The portions are huge, and the food comes out hot and fresh. Definitely loved the old bay garlic butter Kay recommend for us both. This is a great local spot for something you typically think you can just get on a beach vacation. Restaurant is casual and relaxed.

I visit frequently, this review is based on my visit yesterday 7/18/23. I had black mussels and lobster tail combo with a side of Cajun rice and shrimp. The black mussels and lobster has never let me down, however the Cajun rice that I tried for the first time was really dry and didn’t taste good.

My server was Carrie. Carrie was magnificent as she usually is when she’s my server. She’s very professional and polite.

I will definitely be back for some more mussels and lobster tails

Ordered take out while I was in Harrisburg. I had to drive an 1.5 hours back home and my food was still hot. I got the boil and it was good! Only place close to me for this besides Wilkes-Barre. I would definitely order again and online ordering was easy!

Absolutely amazing food! The price was what we expected for a seafood boil bag. I love the customization from the menu. I was a little disappointed and surprised they don't serve scallops. The food was amazing nonetheless. For 1pm on a Saturday they weren't busy at all. The garlic butter sauce is my favorite.

Food is amazing. Service was great and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The best part of this was the price.

My son and I got food poisoning after eating here. I know it was from here cause my son and I were the only ones to eat and everyone else ate elsewhere.

If you like seafood and you don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is the right place. I recommend rice with sausage, it's my favorite. I always order it (be careful, it's spicy). I recommend going in groups because this way you can buy more variety of food and share.
