Cardenas Oil & Vinegar Taproom reviews
17Best Balsamic Vinegar I have tried. Wish they offered free shipping all the time on over $50 orders.
Delicious products - prompt delivery - moved away from the Philly area & miss this store!
Although we are completely addicted to the Lambrusco, we have enjoyed numerous other balsamic which have all been excellent. The Lemon white balsamic is a favorite go to with seafood, and the Pomegranate Balsamic serves well with cheese and roasted vegetables as well as salads. Cardenas always stands behind their products which have been of the highest quality.
Great fast delivery. I get my Lambrusco vinegar from Cardenas.it is the best vinegar ever. It has spoiled me from any other vinegar in my home-made salad dressing (which I eat every day).
Service: fantastic, the two ladies running the shop are great, they took the time to walk us through the options and shared some more information around the different batches of oils
Food: so many unique and fantastic vinegars and oils, it’s great that you can taste before you decide
Atmosphere: very open and inviting, clean and bright just like their vinegars and oils:)
Omg I love their cucumber melon vinegar its great on salads and fruit. If I could I would get some more bottles. Thank you Cardenas for everything
Love all of the offerings of oils and vinegars and especially love the suggested combinations. They wraped up some bottles for travel and they arrived fine in our checked luggage!
Friendly family business, Olya is knowledgeable and a joy to shop with, can't wait to run out of goodies & go visit her again!
What a lovely place to visit if you like specialty olive oils and vinegars. We stopped the other day, and it was almost closing time, and Olya, the girl, who waited on us, couldn't have been nicer. We were able to sample different olive oils, and she was so knowledgeable and helpful in helping us with choices. My personal favorite, the Greek Koroneiki and my daughter's favorite, the Italian Umbrian. We so look forward to returning to sample and purchase more specialty olive oils.
What horrible customer service. We purchased some lovely cheeses next door and thought some oil and vinegar would go good with it. What didn’t go good was the customer service. The lady was either having a horrible day or else, well let s just hope she was having a bad day. Other wise this lady has no business running a business
So much fun to sample the amazing oils! The gentleman helping us was friendly and knowledgeable.everyone masked.highly recommend!
Cardenas Oil & Vinegar Taproom is the best! It's located in the Italian Market and a fun experience and area to visit in Philly! We have tried three different balsamic vinegars and two different olive oils and love them all! The Lambrusco is by far our favorite and the best salad dressing! We moved out of state recently, placed an online order and the items arrived within days! I highly recommend this store!
The Italian Market is a wonderful destination to spend a nice day wandering about. The market is comprised of some wonderful culinary destinations and this is certainly one of the center jewels that make up the Italian markets crown. Come in and see what they have to offer. When you realize that your favorite spot to eat may combine up to 50 ingredients between meats, vegetables, grains and all the wonderful oils and spices you realize that these flavors, taste and smells are proof of Divinity. They are there for your enjoyment and should be coveted for the value they add to the meals you prepare. Oils from around the world are grown with love, transported with caring love and prepared in dishes that we sustain our families with. Combining together wonderful ingredients and the meal becomes a treasured memory to enjoy. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are accessible from SEPTA's bus routes 47M, 47,45 and 64. Municipal parking lots are scattered around the market along with on street parking. Driving in South Philly and the Italian market area is not for the faint of heart. Ample public transportation as well as Lift & Uber should be considered to maximize the pleasure of your trip. Enjoy!
This taproom is getting a 2 because their basil olive oil is worth 5 stars, but their Tuscan Herb Olive is worth -1 stars. Please dear god do NOT buy their Tuscan Herb olive oil unless you enjoy tasting evergreens.
This stuff is delicious! I put it on bread, in pasta, meat, soup. Great way to elevate a meal. Its also a great present. It lasts a long time! Completely worth it!
Went there for the first time today and was quite impressed. The owner, Irene, was friendly and quite knowledgeable. Such a treat to be able to taste the different oils from around the globe. Quite a vast selection of evoo's and balsamic vinegars. They even have honey and hot sauces as well. What a tremendous find in the heart of the Italian Market. Will surely be back.
Very customer friendly. Ordered on line and received products in 1 day. You must try Orange and Peach balsamic. Taste best in salads along with the 25 Star Dark balsamic.
