Carlisle Barracks Commissary reviews
18The staff are very helpful and kind. The facilities are always clean and well stocked. The team does a great job keeping a wide variety of products in the store. The meat department is wonderful with outstanding, fresh selections. I really love the butcher box specials. I love this place!
Don't go the first of the month. It's very busy. We go here for the meats and they have a good selection of Asian, German, and gourmet products at good prices. Produce is cheaper at Aldis. Workers are friendly. It's a small place so be careful with the social distancing so this is why I suggest to avoid this place during the first week of the month. They also have their own sushi chef who is great, but we will wait til after the Covid crisis to eat take out food, for just in case as my husband is a over 60 year old vet.
It was excellent everything that I wanted was there even though it was a little scarce because of the situation that's happening throughout the country but they had the majority of what I was looking for very well-stocked very pleasant staff and great quantities of other stuff that I wanted I was very satisfied with the service
A good commissary for such a small post. You can typically find better produce at area supermarkets and Walmart though.
Shopping at the Commisary is 100% worth the trip to Carlisle, I usually save $50 to $70 in a single trip, look out for sales and online coupons with the Commisary card great selection and prices always have bought fresh vegetables, fruits, and the meat prices are really good, just remember to carry a few dollars to tip the baggers the work for tips only.
Great store! We always enjoy items from the Deli, Bakery (!), and Meat Department!
Keep up the great work!
The prices usually beat those of stores off base, but you should definately compare before you shop. The staff is friendly and the store is organized.
I needed a few items and was in the area of the commissary. It's well organized and has everything you could possibly need for home, beauty, meals, cleaning supplies, personal use. It's moderately priced, but I found items that I can buy cheaper elsewhere. Overall I had a great shopping experience.
Found everything I needed. The only down side is at the register and the cashier has no place to pit the food wrung g up except for a small around-about and the baggers can not keep up with the cashier
Proud of my military service. I will support my commissary and other facilities as the tangible benefits provided to us for our service. I enjoy the quality and value.
The crew are OK, some of them may look rude but they are not, it is just a tempo. Though the quality, especially for vegetables and fruits are very bad. Many time I came across some spoiled items. Other than that, all others foods and v
Beverages are good. The prizes are excellent and very cheap.
The Commissary just ain't what it used to be. There are few things tgere tgat can't be had less expensively at Sam's ir dvem Giant or Wegman's. Used to get meats at a much better price than out in town; not any more. Another benefit diddled to death.
What a fantastic commissary. It not a large one but they have a great selection of food here. Many different ethic ingredients and food stuff makes it a worthwhile trip if you live in a one hour radius. The staff is super friendly and the costs will not dent your wallet. Parking is easy and base access not that bad. Great experience.
Great staff, great selection of just about everything a family could hope for. We enjoy our monthly trip to Carlisle. BUT their background music is (IMHO) horrible. Too loud and poor selection of music. Staff says that they have no control over the music selection. The volume level is w-a-y above what it should be.
It's like a small grocery store where you personally know the people who are serving the community. You are more than just a customer or a number.
Great savings on name brand goods on most.but you have to compare the savings to generic brands found elsewhere. Graft deals on meat usually. Produce is typically overpriced compared to other stores.
Very pleasant shopping experience. Shelves well stocked, store is immaculately clean, and employees are very cordial and helpful.
Very friendly staff. Wish there was more of a selection, but it is a smaller store. The meat prices are great! Some things (spunkmeyer muffins) you need to really look at the dates. There is also a really great cashier. William. Always smiling and he lifts the heavy things for the baggers
