Bar Casbah reviews
17Excellwnt prix fixe brunch including a choice of brunch cocktail, starter and entree, plus a sampling basket of baked items! Excellent service in a wonderful atmosphere!
A great restaurant with a very comfortable ambience. I had a great salad that paired well with my entree. I definitely would go again.
Sophisticated. Casbah is a lovely, classy and exceedingly well run Mediterranean restaurant. Free valet parking, superior service, relaxed atmosphere and great food. I loved the feeling of the bar and the lighting in the restaurant. Both my cocktail and my dinner were extremely well prepared. I think my favorite thing was the service, it was just excellent.
Consistently top performers. Friendly staff and fantastically prepared food. We've been going here for brunches and dinners since 2005. That's how good it is.
Have dined here several times. If it’s nice out, highly recommend asking for the patio seating. I think I’ve tried most of the pastas on the menu and all delicious, but have also heard the duck is amazing.
We celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary by dining at Casbah. It is my favorite restaurant in the Big Burrito group. The food is always great, and the service is always excellent. I prefer dining in the enclosed “patio” area, especially on a rainy evening, which it was that night.
Their valet parking attendants are always on the ball and perfect gentlemen.
And last but not least, this is a great restaurant that actually happens to be opened on Mondays!
Had a reservation here and the experience was great. The place has a natural, comforting atmosphere, which is complimented by the kindness of the people working there. The food was a little on the expensive end, but that was factored out by how good and fulfilling it was. I recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy spot to eat and talk in a semi-formal environment.
The food at Casbah was excellent. Everyone I was with was highly satisfied with their meals. I ordered the Casbah double-cut pork chops and the chops were cooked to perfection and the garlic cream sauce was amazing. I will definitely be going back next time I make a trip to Pittsburgh. Our server, Mark, did a really good job making us feel like we were his only customers although he was very busy.
Jessica Bella and I had a great experience at Casbah. The food was great. TJ was awesome. This was a great way to celebrate my son's birthday.
I absolutely love casbah, it’s my favorite of big burritos specialty restaurants. I have always had wonderful service (last night I had particularly spectacular service). My food is always on point. Their cheese board is worth every penny which is hard to find when buying cheese boards. Their scallops perfectly seared. You can tell their FOH and BOH takes their jobs seriously and do them very well.
We ordered everything the waitress recommended and love them all. Tuna tartare and pork chops are highly recommended. Service is also pretty good. Will come back again.
Very good experience overall and glad we made the trip. The server was friendly, attentive, and had great input. Cocktails were inventive and packed a welcome punch.
Food varied between amazing and bursting with flavor to a bit bland. Calamari and shrimp app had a wonderful agrodolce and lemon aioli started things off right.
We had 2 pasta dishes as mains, and there was a striking difference in flavor. The Ricotta Cavatelli was some of the most delicious pasta I've had in a long while. The sausage added great flavor to the dish and was a perfect pairing with the sauce.
The other main dish was the Orecchiette. It was fine and everything was cooked properly, the sauce was creamy, but it was just bland overall, even with the sweet hits of cranberry. The goat cheese and sage cream just sort of made it a one note song. My wife mentioned that something as simple as salt and pepper would have made the dish a whole lot better, and she's correct. She usually is.
For dessert we had the Myer Lemon Semolina Cake. Moist, full of flavor, and the mousse that accompanied it should be served in bowls by itself.
Great visit overall with the low point being the Orecchiette, and even then it's not like it was terrible or inedible. I'm not entirely sure it warranted a paragraph but it was out of place with everything else. Prices were maybe a little steep for the quantity, but for the ambience and feel of the place it makes sense.
Top 17th restaurant on TripAdvisor so we decided to try it while we are in the area. Pork chops were the best! We also had the duck, grilled chicken pasta and the octopus appetizer. On the pricier end but ambience and vibe was great! Saw that there was complimentary valet parking for guests too!
Kind of disappointing when the waiter recommends the pork chop and the risotto tasted meh. White rice, as basic as it is, has more flavor. Everything else though was great!
My friend and I decided to come here on a Sunday at 1pm. It wasn't crowded so we were able to get a table easily.
Parking: the parking is so limited around the restaurant so I was glad to see that they have complimentary valet parking.
Food: The Brunch is a set price, you are able to pick a first plate (appetizer), an entree and a brunch drink.
They brought us out three types of bread, along with a glass of water, the poppy muffins were so good.
I got the salad as an appetizer, two eggs, potatoes, fruit and chicken sausage for brunch and an apricot mimosa as my drink.
The food was good and filling. The service was excellent and fast. The waiter was very attentive. I would recommend this place and come back with my husband ️.
Food is good, not amazing. Kind of expensive considering the portions. I get that it is supposed to be a somewhat upscale place, but if they sit you in that annex-like area with the uncomfortable metal chairs, that’s also gone, so the price is not justified.
Also the chicken in Orecchiette felt a bit like it was from a cold chicken salad, and maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be, but it was not to my taste. Other than that, it was good
It's a big, tasty yes.
Everything was delicious, they also have good gluten free knowledge. We tried the calamri&rock shrimp, swordfish, pork chop, ravioli, Crème Brûlée, cake and ice cream (all desserts). Happy with every choice, amazing Crème Brûlée won the dessert match!
