Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar reviews
14I hate to give a poor review - but the meal we experienced at the Cedar Hollow Inn last night has to be shared. We live locally and wanted to enjoy an evening out. We ate at the bar and ordered: blackened steak and I ordered the trout (swapped out for salmon), green beans and polenta. The steak was so tough - really inedible. My salmon was OK, but the string beans were the "toughest" I've ever encountered - like fragments of wood pulp - impossible to eat. I held out hope for the polenta but when I found the 2 slices under the salmon - all hope was lost - the size of a soda can & round - the shelf-bought polenta was the last sad straw. We don't eat out often. I needed a break from cooking - and I guess I got that. But we work hard for our money - like we all do - like the staff at the Cedar Hollow Inn does - but we came home feeling like we should have just thrown our money out the window. If the dedicated staff of the restaurant show up and work hard - then whomever does the food buying should really check the quality of the food that their dedicated staff is serving to their customers who work hard so they can treat themselves to a night out.
We had a terrible experience at this restaurant for lunch. Very under staffed and we waited an hour and a half for r food then had to send some back because it was old and not edible.
Great bar, great beer and a good wine list. Service is great, with a good pub vibe for game watching. Dining spaces are nice and provide a different feel from bar area which is nice for dining and socializing with friends.
Another awesome night at the bar. Had drinks, appetizers and kids had dinner. Love this place. We eat here every time we are up from Alabama.
Update: 11-21-2022 we had drinks and food with friends and family. Pot Roast was excellent. Always have a great time.
Really great to just sit at the bar for drinks and apps. Or get a table for a wonderful sit down dinner. Entrees are excellent.
Service is always on point. Food is not really my thing, but their burgers are good. I only go for the Sunday night Name That Tune.
Definitely nothing to write home about. Food is mediocre and dinner menu prices are high for what you get.
Been here a few times now. Food is always really good and the staff are very friendly and attentative! Lots of cool people frequent here too!
Now into Nickel and diming. I have eaten there many times because I consider the food and atmosphere to be good but they are now charging 75 cents for a side of ranch dressing. The ridiculous excuse was that they make it in house.
The food is extraordinary and there is enough parking. Valley Forge is very close by. The meatball hoagie is the best I have ever eaten.
The food was great, stake was cooked to perfection, the kids loved their kids menu. We had a good time here. The servers were kind (we have two boys 10 and 5 and can get loud sometimes) very attentive service. Overall a great experience.
The food here is always on point, it’s top tier, the atmosphere and staff are always great, one of my favorite restaurants ever
Food was great, had senior management from work out for a meal, party of 9. Service was really slow which was upsetting as this place really is nice.
