I love this place! Excellent food and service for a great price. Staff is so friendly and make me feel really welcome like family. You get to watch them make your food and chat about anything your interested in. Other people are extremely nice and are welcoming to have a conversation with you. Its located right next to the canal, so you can go for a run and have breakfast after.

Doesn't get much better than central lunch. It's quaint with friendly service, DELICIOUS food, and juicy town gossip from the old men regulars. Bring cash and don't miss out on this gem!

Little place has the most warm, and friendly ladies to serve you up a delicious hefty breakfast. Truly one of a kind diner, like a keeper from the past. All food cooked fresh, from local farmers, businesses, etc.you will be hooked to come back again & again.loved French toast, bacon, eggs made just right, home fries with or without onions, great coffee! The menu offers so much more!

Passed many times, but never ate there. Decided it was about time. If you’re looking for a 4-5 star restaurant you’ll be disappointed. If you’re looking for good food, good service, friendly atmosphere you’ll find it here. There are only bar stools to sit on, so you’ll be sitting by other people. Not a problem for us since everyone was so friendly. Prices were reasonable.

I decided to go to this spot for historical purposes. I was not disappointed. The best friendliest atmosphere I have experienced and yes, someone knows how to make dippy eggs!

I stopped by here to grab a couple breakfast sandwiches for me and my son while he was in the hospital nearby. The food and service were absolutely great! I look forward to stopping by again!

Small place. But food is excellent. It has friendly atmosphere, cook is very good and pleasant, girls waiting on customers always friendly and helpful
This place is always busy, at times must wait a few for a seat but well worth the wait. Don't have to ask for coffee refills

We are so happy we found this family friendly diner. The breakfast was delicious and the staff so friendly. They said they have been on business for 56 years. They are doing it right. Support small businesses!

GREAT BREAKFAST SPOT! Popped into this diner based off of a few Yelp/reviews, and it was so worth it! Delicious meal, piping hot, right off the griddle. Reasonably priced and an authentic small town experience. Few things to know that we learned!

1. This is a small diner, essentially bar space only! Sit on your coat at your bar stool! The locals dining next to us said it gets crowded on the weekend, so best bet would be during the week, especially if you have more than two people in your party.

2. As most places right now, prices have increased from the last picture of the menu I saw on reviews. My husband and I each got the two egg breakfast with home fries (w/ onions, highly recommended!) and meat, and our bill was $20. The meal also came with toast! Average price for diners right now, and well worth it!

3. We didn’t get it, but my husband almost immediately regretted not getting “The Mess. ” The locals next to us ordered this dish and it looked AMAZING!

The family that runs this joint was so nice and welcoming, go check it out!:)

Amazingly fresh, handmade food at a family owned restaurant. We watched them cut the potatoes that became "the best fries ever" according to my son.

Not enough stars for this little spot! They're such great people who run the place and the food is all amazing, not to mention you cannot beat the prices here! My fiancees family are regulars and I always love when we have a day off so we can head up here and get the best breakfast around

Central Lunch is a hidden gem. Don't let the small building fool you. It is a family-owned restaurant, with reasonable prices, and a personal touch with its community. They seem to know everyone that walked into the restaurant! I wish we had dinners like this in Philly. If you can stop and enjoy a little piece of the community!
