Centre County Memorial Park reviews
8This is a horrible place with uncaring, greedy employees. They change their policies a couple times a year and don't let you know what they are and then they take your homemade beautiful decorations down and throw them away (so they say). This last time it was because they were fall decorations and it is now winter-that's what they told us. That was November 12th and it still is not winter but our belongings are long gone. They were only on the grave for a couple days. The same rule says the vases are to be turned upside down at that time. Over half of the vases in the cemetery are still set up and holding plastic flowers-why weren't they thrown away? The staff also threw out the "we're too busy" excuse. But, when we walked in there were 3 employees there (in the middle of the afternoon) doing nothing-just standing around gossiping. If you could give a zero or minus stars-I would. This has been going on for the entire 5 years my son has been buried there. He was a US army veteran and a physician. In addition to everything else, the little granite piece that holds the flag is sinking into the ground and they won't fix it. Every time we visit, the flag has been broken off and is lying on the ground. We have replaced them at our own expense numerous times every year. I'm sorry we ever came to this horrible place and met these miserable people.
Kristi was terrible from start to finish, unprofessional, rude, and zero compassion! When I will be asked how my encounter with this establishment was I can truly say TERRIBLE!
Very unhappy with the cemetery grounds personnel. I have been unable to get my brother's head stone correctly placed. It's been 3 years this month and still no success with getting the problem solved.
We did preneeds years ago for my parents. Everything worked very easily and without issue. Thank you for handling everything professionally and with care.
Terrible experience from start to finish. Very rude during the initial meeting back in September, the lady was AWFUL. Very disrespectful and nasty.
There is still not a year on the grave of 2019. We have called and called regarding this, but get no explanation as to why. Visited again today 10 months after her passing and again not the year marking her death.
The grounds are terrible. American flags blowing over or not there when they should be, personal belongings gone that were placed.
This is a terrible cemetery!
It’s sad how it is unkept. Also, no markings or maps to assist in finding our grandparents stone. The last 2 times we’ve been in town, we’ve been unable to find it even though we know the section number, etc. Can’t get a hold of anyone either. Sad.
I have had great interaction with the office staff but the on going “war” with the groundskeeper is ridiculous! Latest was placing a potted mum this fall at my fathers musolium spot and weeks latter it had disappeared. When I went into the office it had been placed by the shed which I am positive it was going to someones home. All other items were placed on the walkway (in front of my dad and stayed there for months). There is a lot of things to do besides take things from a person who can not defend themselves. I got the mum back but am really tired of constantly fighting. Sad!
Being a hospice nurse, I have personally witnessed many funerals performed under a variety of circumstances and cultures. This particular experience was quite memorable for all the wrong reasons.
The initial meeting was abrasive.one of the most unprofessional conversations I have ever experienced. Realizing everybody has an off day, we put that experience in the past. At time of interment, we were graveside for 30 minutes before they began tearing down the tent and bringing in bulldozers. I found this extremely disrespectful! Would it have been too much to ask to wait another 5 minutes until we were finished? !?
I would encourage this organization to remember that although this may be an average day at the office for you, this is a lifelong negative memory engraved in my mind. Please don’t forget about empathy and respect for future customers.particularly during such an emotionally taxing time of their lives.
