I was so nervous to start having medication delivered, it sounded so stressful to me to set up and all that. But this has been an amazing experience! The customer service is so sweet and helpful! They call to check on your refill, which has been a life saver for me because I am forgetful! My medication is always delivered on time and so safely packaged! This is an amazing pharmacy!

Chartwell needs to come into the 21st century. Unlike every other utility bill or even insurance provider they still don’t have the option to go paperless. And I just don’t see the need for being mailed an invoice for every delivery when there is no charge (my insurance covered it) and I could pull up the information if I had any questions on my insurance website.

Also home delivery by drivers is a bit aggravating as someone who has a chronic condition. Sometimes they have come very early in morning, when I’m still in bed. Other times they have shown up after 9 PM when I’m trying to wind down. And with my symptoms (weakness, nausea, vertigo, etc) I’m not going to answer the door for a stranger at these times. It also seems unnecessary to sign for every delivery when the company is still billing the insurance & being paid regardless. Why it’s much more preferable that they use UPS for deliveries.

It just seems like Chartwell is stuck in the past so it’s leaving patients disrupted & with a pile of paperwork that’s a waste of time.

These guys are amazing. As a new customer, I had an unexpected insurance change and last minute needed to get my order in and shipped to my doctors office for my appointment in only a week. The wonderful group at Chartwell were so nice and helpful and went out of their way to get my migraine medicine processed and shipped to arrive a day earlier than my appointment! They even sent me a tracking link for peace of mind. Joy was especially nice and made sure everything was taken care of all. I am so grateful!

Inadequate number of vitamin syringes, pump tubing amount did not match number needed for bags of tpn. A delivery fee for each error. I will count every item prior to signing receipt. Driver will need to wait.
This TPN is life saving. A careful accounting is vital. The pharmacy mixes formula under strict routine. I am using aseptic technique at home. Please provide the supplies indicated for my prescribed therapy. I will be in touch with patient representative, accounting, UPMC Home Infusion, /d.b. A/ Chartwell and DOH if these problems are not resolved by the staff responsible. I have many months to go and no other choice for UPMC provider. I have enough stress, please do not contribute unnecessary problems. I just read other reviews. Glad I'm not alone. Guess that poor service occurs when this the only Home Infusion Pharmacy UPMC helps pay for. I know staff shortages are a problem from grocery to auto mechanics. Thank You for Hard Work. Just so frustrated. Was different decades ago.
The Home Infusion RNs are inconsistent when doing procedures. Atention to asepsis could be better. Why the lack of adherence to recognized proven policies and procedures. I have done Home Infusion education of many therapeutics. Scientific basis and consistency reduced infection and untoward effects. UPMC and Chartwell must have these in place to maintain JCAHO, 1RN out of 3 has excelled. 2 use opinion based procedures, not the way our profession is to be.

My best friend is so incredibly sick and has been stood up by this company & it’s nurses multiple times, resulting in her going to the emergency room constantly. This is absolutely ridiculous. This company plays with the health of others. Calling her saying they will be there and straight up, not coming, ever. She is high risk and her not getting home treatment is very dangerous for her. I’m extremely upset. This has happened multiple times now.

Hi. My son Sean had a stroke so I have had to move in with him to help with TPN. I knew absolutely nothing about doing this since he’s done it on his own for probably 20 years. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have Josh to help me from Team 5 ️️ Also, the pharmacists are so helpful. Thank you for all the answers and kindness shown towards us

I've used their services in 2018 & just last month without any complaints or complications. I was impressed with the extra measures taken to ensure my medication was received on time considering I was discharged so late both times on a Friday evening. Thank you so much!

I've used Chartwell twice for delivery of home IV antibiotics to combat serious infection (s). I've had problems with Chartwell both times. The most recent had more problems than first time. Every week I was called & asked what equipment needed replenished for the coming week of home IV. I took time every week, prior to their call, to count each item & inform the caller what is needed with that weeks medication delivery. I even reviewed my order with the caller prior to terminating call. Yet they failed to send me 1 or 2 of the items or failed to send requested quantities.
The first time I used Chartwell, it seamed they sent & billed as much material as possible. I tried to minimize the excess material & billing but getting the proper amount became a problem.
But the most serious problem with recent experience was the date Chartwell showed the home IV delivery was to end. From day one, Chartwell showed Oct 5th as last date for home IV delivery. I informed Chartwell from the beginning my doctor said I was to be on home IV until Oct 13th, a full 6 weeks. And with EVERY phone call, I was told they would confirm that date with my doctor & change it on my chart. I went as far as to call my doctor & inform them of the incorrect finish date. As the weeks went by, there was no change of Oct 5 to Oct 13. And I kept informing the caller with each weekly order. And when the phone call came on Oct 2nd for the "final order", I was quizzed why I never informed anyone of the incorrect date. I have my list of everyone I informed of the incorrect date, date I informed them & what response I was told when I informed them. Gee, it took someone to drive out in a car to deliver the necessary medicine & equipment to finish the home delivery on the 13th.
So, what good is it to provide good information to a caller from Chartwell when they can't process an order as you request. Nor can they make necessary inquiry to correct finished date. Chartwell representatives must learn to listen to patients who provide accurate inventory amounts & finish dates. And I haven't mentioned the dissatisfaction with nurses used for home health. Debbie has provided great care. I trust her with all she does. But, you switched home nursing to Natashia. She seamed very professional when she arrived. But it didn't take long for me to learn otherwise. Every cap & cover she removed from tubes, needles, etc, ended up on the floor. For the first 3 days after her visit, I kept stepping on them with my bare feet. This is NOT a hospital room, it's my home. Those little caps hurt when stepped on, There's no one sweeping the floor daily like in the hospital. I watched how she does decapping & burping flush syringes, etc, all single-handed. She didn't like me telling her about it either. I live here. I walk around my home bare footed. Pick up after yourself. There was a garbage can within 3' of her left & another 3' behind her. I'm glad nurse Debbie returned. Chartwell needs to train the nurses they contract to provide home care or give the patient the choice of home nursing companies.
I've spent the past 36 years of my life without a spleen. As I age, my body's ability to fight infection has become more challenging. I'm about to turn 60 & I'm sure sometime in my future, home IV delivery will be necessary to combat one or more of the nasty bacteria strains roaming our world today.
It's great to have home IV delivery to fight infections. Having had 36 surgeries since being hit head-on by a drunk in 1981, I've seen many hospitals, doctors, nurses, medical personnel, treatments, medications, etc. Any company in direct contact with patients (customers) once or twice weekly, must maintain & project the same level of professionalism they received when hospitalized.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Chartwell responded to my comment as you can see after my comment. They say they will contact me about the problem I experienced. It's 7/28/2021,3 years later, and they NEVER contacted me as they stated. I do not recommend using Chartwell. I never will again.

I have had no complaints until now and I’m thankful my sons formula was covered by insurance but I’m really upset with how the company bills.

We apparently had a $25 copay each month that was never sent to us. Yesterday we received a bill for $225 dollars worth of copays.

We are a one income family and on a strict budget so a bill like this shocked us. It would of been much easier and helped us financially to pay the copay monthly.

I placed a feeding order for my daughter, who is tube fed nothing by mouth, 2 weeks ago. Called a week ago since nothing had arrived and they attempt to cover their tracks with lies, but did hand deliver a few days worth of supplies. Now a week later I still have not received the order, and am still just getting the run around

I am on IV medications that are provided by Chartwell via overnight delivery. The 1st package that was to be delivered never arrived. I contacted Chartwell who needed to send a courier overnight from 4 hours away. I was promised when I spoke with them at 7: 45pm that my meds would be delivered before my next dose which was needed at 5: 30am. The couier showed up at 7am, too late. We receive a call the next day from a neighbor who just got home and found our packages on his porch. These meds are to remain cold and it was 90 degrees outside! I spoke to the supervisor at Chartwell who apologized and said that it would not happen again. I gave specific instructions to get to my home and still tonight the same neighbor called to say he had our packages. Do not trust this company to get live sustaining meds to you. If you are recommended or set up to use this pharmacy for your medication needs, find someone else!

The staff is always so kind and helpful. Any of our needs are met fully and in a timely manner. If there does happen to be some mix up with an order, the staff is certain to fix the issue immediately! Best company we have used thus far!

I recently completed home infusion therapy, with Chartwell being the supplier of all equipment and medical supplies. The staff members were all extremely kind and considerate and always treated me with respect and compassion. They also went above and beyond to ensure that I understood everything involved, and always encouraged me to call them at any time if I ever had any questions or needed clarity on any issue. It was very clear to me that the delivery person’s top priority was customer service and customer satisfaction.

I gave Chartwell a four star rating. There is only one single issue that prevented me from giving them a five star rating: Excess supplies! The fact that Chartwell continued, for each and every delivery, to e ship out more than twice the quantity of what was ordered/requested. They have a “no returns” policy, understandably, given the medical nature of the products. So, for every one of those shipments, an invoice is generated. It seems obvious that Chartwell trains/instructs employees to always ship box up a lot more supplies than anyone had ordered. I guess I can’t blame them. So, Chartwell can then bill the insurance companies. In my opinion, that should be illegal. It’s a form of theft by deception. But, it is not illegal, so I guess I can’t blame them. They are legally increasing their bottom line, increasing Chartwell’s profits.
