Chateau Perry Apartments

My roommate and I are looking for a new apartment to share. I was interested in Chateau Perry, so my roommate set up a tour for us to attend together. The day of the tour, we were both called into work unexpectedly. I called Chateau Perry, spoke to a leasing agent, and rescheduled our tour. The apartments themselves are not open for tours due to COVID, but we were not notified of this at any point in time during the scheduling process. I wasn't notified that I couldn't view an apartment until I met the leasing agent in person. The leasing agent gave me a tour of the ugly common areas and handed me some printed floorplans that could have been emailed to me. It was a complete waste of time. I contacted many apartments before and after Chateau Perry, but Chateau Perry is the only complex that failed to notify me in advance when a unit could not be toured due to COVID.

My fiance and I set an appointment to tour on May 27th for a 2 bedroom unit that was available. An hour and a half prior to our tour, my fiance called the office and spoke with Terry who confirmed the 2 bedroom unit was still available for our tour that day. When we arrived and Terry saw that we were an African American family, he told us that there were no units that we could tour. When we asked about the 2 bedroom unit we called to confirm was still available an hour and a half prior, he told us that the unit was rented out the day before in a rush. If this were true, he would have told us on the phone when we called prior to driving out to the complex. Very disappointed with the way we were treated and the time we wasted. I have left several messages asking to speak with a manager and I have received no response.

We had a very good experience with Terry taking a tour of Chateau Perry. It is very clean quiet, has a lot of perks when you live here. We are hoping an apartment opens up because I think my husband and I would be very happy living here.
