What a great place to work. Very small but larger community of staff working together as one and always putting patients first… 5 * without a problem!

This facility has very attentive and helpful staff. It is also very clean and comfortable for visitors. They do have a nice size parking lot but it needs to be bigger to handle all of the visitors.

The nursing staff were very professional, courteous and nice. The unit I was visiting a patient on was "E" wing.

The unit was clean. It was quite no wheel chairs in the hallway blocking your entrance or exit. My family members room was very clean and neet.

The patient lounge was clean. With patient's watching T. V.also playing card games.

Dietary served dinner. The staff from the dietary department were very courteous to my family member and her roommate.

I enjoyed my visit with my family today. As well as every time I go there. Chestnut Hill Lodge/Rehab is a nice facility. To have my family member in. Respectfully submitted Ms. B Brown.

I visited my family on Saturday and I left in tears. This is a sad place for family to receive care. (the lack of). It's dirty, it stinks, it's broken up. The shower on the unit where HE is has been broken for over a week. He is failing in health since his stay and doesn't say much these days. HE WAS FILTHY from head to toe. I visited for almost 4 hours, NOONE came in to see him with the exception of the Dietary people. No nurse, no aid, no med check, nothing. HORRIBLE PLACE. Almost everyone, every other week is NEW. Something has to be done to help these people!

If I could give this place 0 starts I would. First off the care my father received here was extremely inadequate. They were supposed to rehab him so he could come home and they wouldn’t even get him out of bed. Several times he was taken to the hospital and no one from our family was notified. Most recently my sister tried to call him repeatedly with no answer to his cell phone, our only means of communicating with him, because there are no phones in the room. She drove up there and didn’t find out until she went into his room that they transferred him to Abington hospital. No one called us or told us. Additionally, she searched his room and his phone was not there. Assuming the phone was not charged and with my dad, she drove over to Abington. Once there she was told he was transferred was due to a blood clot in his arm. Both of his arms were purple and bruised down to his knuckles, which was not how he looked a week prior. My dad did not have his phone and said he couldn’t find it for several days. Later that evening my sister got a call from my dad’s phone. A man found it on a train to Philadelphia, which means one of the employees likely stole it and left it on the train, because my dad was never on a train. My sister never heard from this man when she tried contacting him again or received the phone back. I’ve already reported this facility to the state and they said they are looking into it. It’s disgusting, the workers are rude, they steal from the residents they injured my father because he did not have bruised on him the week prior. It needs to be shut down. I called the director of nursing. I doubt I will hear back from her, but I hope she and every worker there ends up losing their jobs.

Finally I have a chance to post my review, to the staff at Chestnut Hill Lodge Rehabilitation I'm forever greatful to everyone that my family had interactions with. Just to drop a few names that I do remember Jen, Shonda, Cliff, Lindsay, Robin, Keena, Candace, Shawn you all were wonderful. I do apologize if I forgot anyone. Just like any other Rehabilitation Facility or nursing home you have to communicate take the time to speak with the staff.
My mother was admitted for rehab from having covid, she was there the end of March 2022 to May 2022 she was in room C3. The staff we had interactions with was nothing but great. My mother happened to be there as they were going through new management. Jen in admissions just asked if we were not happy with things to please communicate with them and allow them to fix whats wrong. They are human and will not get everything right.

The maintenance crew I don't know their names but they kept my mother's room on point and I thank you all for that. Sure I saw a ant or 2 but that's it no roaches as I see from previous reviews. All the CNA's nursing staff and Dr Thank you. The food when my mother 1st started was horrible but towards the end of her stay it was improved. That's the only reason I gave a 4 star rating.

Since discharge my mother has been doing great. So thank you all again for your caring hearts and for all that you do because I know during this covid times things are rough. God Bless you all.

It was great. The receptionist greeted me and was pleasant on showing me what I had to do in order to visit my uncle. She then directed me where to go. Love the greeting of the mask

I was there yesterday to visit a loved one. Went to sign in. After I sign in I was told that needed to wear a n45 mask and goggles because they had Covid in the unit. A1. Well I went in my loved one had no mask on and no shoes. I ran out. They told me that they called and sent me a email. That was all a lie. Well I came home call there several times. No Social worker asked none the Administration. So I call the Dept. Of Health to file a complaint. If anyone experience this yesterday. Please contact the Dept. Of Health. I am trying to have my love one taking out of this place nothing there is acceptable for any human.

I was a former resident, here. I was in there for 13 years & 3 months (for something that was only supposed to have me in there for 18-to-24 months). I saw a good bit of changes in the internal decor, staffing, management & owners.
I've not meet the new Admin, though a slew of the previous ones were far from being up to par. I'm not too sure on the current staffing regards, mind you, but I became knowledgeable towards a good number of the former ones. A number of the good employees left, though, I've heard that a select handful returned.m
I'm not going to outright trash the place in my review, even though I was the longest residing patient/resident to successfully move out in the facility's history. Granted, I would not want to be in a position where I'd have to return towards a nursing home/health rehab, though If I was unfortunate to have such occur, I'd not want to return to staying here. I'll visit the place to see my friends & associates that I've made (both residents & staff), but I'd not want to reside there.
Would I recommend this place? I honestly can't say yes, as even dwelling there could be bothersome due to all of the bad karma from years past.

I took a chance on getting my rehabilitation for my completely replaced left knee in the winter of 2009 during the Xmas /new years holiday's; and boy what a disaster my decision to take a chance on the combination nursing home/rehabilitation facility this turned out to be.

Let me say if it wasn't for the skilled nurse who cared for my said left knee replacement, sutchers, healing/pains I'd give this place 1.5 stars.

First of all you don't want to have any major surgery that requires rehab, healing/care. To prevent infection/to get you on the road to your recovery in a nursing home/rehab facility.
Because (nobody e.g, the rehab staff) likes to work during the Xmas/new years holidays) none of the rehab staff was there for my first eleven days/that set me back big-time, in my rehab, lack of flexibility/recuperation.

In the way my said knee failed to respond, when the rehab staff finally got back from their Xmas/new years vacations. Little did I know then how much that would affect my recuperation overall.

Secondly/most importantly, the food was terrible, the basement area where I was taken to get some very light said knee movement's was very cold.

And in spite of the exceptional replacement of my bandage's along w/topical medication, by my skilled nurse.
My said knee became infected; and I had to be transferred via ambulance at night. Back to the Rothman Institute at Jefferson hospital in Center City Philly.
For care to heal my said knee. From the bad infection I unfortunately caught while at the Chestnut Hill Lodge/ Rehabilitation.

Where eventually I began my real said rehabs at the Watermark at Magee in the Spring garden section in Philly. And after having my said knee not responding right according to my Orthopedic surgeon, "snapped back".

At the Rothman Institute at Jefferson hospital in Center City Philly.
I returned to the Watermark at Magee, and eventually kept all my rehabilitation appointments/made a full/successful recovery!

I have been asking Cindy for a copy of my late mother's records for months. I guess it takes time to clean them up before sending them. I am not happy with the other reviews I was reading on here.makes me wonder what they will not include in her records.

My Aunt, Mabriel Bridgers, just recently passed away. Her belongings, specifically her purse, which contained credit cards, house keys, etc, were left at Chestnut Hill Lodge Rehabilitation.

Family members showed up at Chestnut Hill Lodge to retrieve my Aunt's personal belongings. However, we were informed by staff that her belongings could not be found.

My Aunt just passed away Sunday, January 9,2022. It is hard to believe that our Aunt's belongings were "misplaced".

To be continued.

If I could rate 0 I would. One of my friends had just came home from there and it us a horrible place. He had Cockroach Crawling on his arm while he was in bed. Nurses were very very rude and lying to him about things, He takes Percocet So when he asked the nurse to see his transcript because they told him that he didn't have any left, She wouldn't let him, I do believethey were takinghis medication. There was blood all over the curtains in the room. They didn't even want to feed him. He lost so much weight, this place is very disgusting and dirty, You'll catch a disease just being in there, His roommate went to the bathroomOn himself cuz he couldn't moveI'm guessing he was bedriddenAnd it took the nurses three hours to go in the room finally and change him. That is horrible! These nurses and whatever should be ashamed of themselves! Something needs to be done about this place. I never heard anything nice about it. How is this place not shut down

This facility is by far the worst nursing and rehabilitation center known to man. They attempt to mask how terrible this place is by remodeling the lobby and hanging up a few nice paintings; however the residents rooms are filthy and reeks of urine. As a social worker who support individuals through difficult times and ensure that the vulnerable population are safeguarded from harm; I was appalled by the way the administration team handled and managed family concerns and complaints relating to residents care and safety. The facility administrator Kim, director of nursing Bridget and unit manager Tanika were very rude, often fabricated information and never showed any concern for my loved one. I had to consistently contact the facility and send emails to request meetings and follow ups. If you are looking for a place that is clean, safe, compassionate, professional and respects the rights and dignity of the elderly, I would not recommend this place.

Chestnut Hill Lodge was a nightmare it is by far the worst Nursing Home I’ve ever come across. If I could give 0 stars I would. My Dad was a resident there for about 63 days and within those days he fell on 5 different occasions twice in 1 day within an hour span. The staff there were rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate and showed no compassion towards my loved one. All of my Dad’s clothing went missing as well. All of his clothing from his undergarment to sleeping clothes and even his prescription eye wear went missing. When asked about where his clothing went no one could answer. My Dad missed several important doctor’s appointments due to the Nursing home facility not having transportation and letting my siblings and I know at the very last moment. Communication was very poor! Every time I would visit him he was either in someone else’s clothing or in hospital gowns. The Nursing home even at one point told us that he was wearing donated clothing which I could not understand why. One day we were told that we could visit him in his room instead of the lobby. Once I was able to go in the back I witnessed how his dirty clothing had feces & urine on them and were just placed in a plastic bag in his closet. There were times his missing clothing would reappear & disappear a few days later again. After his glasses went missing for about 3 weeks those reappeared as well. My Dad suffers from glaucoma & also has Dementia never in a million years would I think or expect he would be treated in this matter. Especially at a place that we trusted for his care. Hopefully this review will have you reconsider sending your loved one here.
