Children's Dental Health of Harrisburg reviews
17 Commercialized their services and outsourced to a call center that is incompetent. You're a dental office, not a credit card company. Your call center can't even figure out how to connect to your offices. Also are stacking appointments. This is inconvenient and rude to those with busier schedules. Appointment was over an hour late after they booked FIVE kids at the same time, for a total of 7. Also poor record keeping, or lost my kids records on a previous tooth injury. They acted as if they'd had never seen our kids before.
Also before I get the generic response they're giving to everyone else, there were no emergencies, they are simply purposefully overbooking for profit.
The wait was outrageous! My appointment was scheduled at 9. I got there at 8: 45. Didn’t get called back until 9: 30 and then the hygienist didn’t come in until 9: 45. Way to long of a wait, especially with small children
Usually we have great experiences here, however this particular time was NOT good. X-rays were taken of my child and I was not notified (has braces and didn't need them), the hygienist pushed against my son's lip while cleaning which made his braces cut him, the hygienist sprayed water all over his face and down his back. This hygienist seemed disorganized and frazzled and very unprofessional.
I liked that they did everything right there in one visit. But I was there from 3 pm until 6 pm that was way to much and I have severe pain all the time this was not a good thing to do in the seating that was in the waiting area
I would have given 5 stars but this morning appointment was for 8: 30 and granddaughter was taken back until 9: 24. They were having computer issues and with the dental X-ray device. But they were able to handle the situation pretty well considering.
Granddaughter still got her cleaning done. Thank you
Everyone was super friendly but my 2 year old and I were there for 1 hour 45 minutes for a cleaning.usually go to Mechanicsburg but they had a schedule conflict and no availability to reschedule so went to Harrisburg and they were definitely overbooked!
My 10 year old and I noticed how they were rushing doing her teeth because she was the last patient of the day. I expected them to take there time and really clean my child's teeth throughly. That did not happen.
Staff is ghetto at the Harrisburg office, also some rude. They do not call back to reschedule appointments that they cancel. Then when you call to try and get an appointment it’s months away. They are very unprofessional. They used to be good but not anymore. It seems that you always have to give a bad review and rating for anything to get done. I’m good though, I’ll will be taking my kids elsewhere.
Kids love it here. Used to be decorated kid friendly, ect. I gave it a 4 stars because there was no communication on their backlog and we waited an hour after their appointment start time for them to be called back today.
My daughter's appointment had been canceled by office, twice in a row. But I finally spoke with someone in person, in office, and she was able to be seen the next day, despite their very stretched out schedule. She was in and out and happy.
It's a nice dental office, but she shouldn't of had 2 canceled appointments for the same procedure, twice, without them reaching out to me to reschedule.
Overall pleased, though this issue was very frustrating.
Also, a telephone representative told me that they have had this problem with many parents/children.
Needed a tooth pulled but just got a consultation and had to make an appointment for 2 months away even though the child is seeping puss out of the tooth. Unfortunately no other dentists in a rather large radius will accept our insurance. Also this location is mostly traveling dentists.
I hate how you can’t call them directly. However, staff is nice dentist and hygienist are very thorough understanding, and knowledgeable. I trust them do my children’s dental care
We waited an hr past our appt time to be seen. My children were fit to be tied by the time the dr came in. The people are nice and polite. Hygienist was very friendly and helpful with my little guy who didn’t want to cooperate. But the long wait was very frustrating.
Very busy practice with caring practitioners and understanding support staff. Treated my son with utmost respect during his first visit.
Our son goes here and the staff is great with children. The inside is decorated like an aquarium and usually has a movie playing. Downfalls to this office, you typically wait when you arrive and time getting called back can go beyond your scheduled time. Also, for the annual check-ups it is better to schedule way in advance. We just scheduled today for a yearly check up and couldn't get in until March.
Our visit today was wonderful as always. The receptionist was polite patient and accommodating. She gave me valuable information for transitioning. This is the best Children’s Dentist I have ever been too. I will miss this wonderful staff. My children are 16 years old now and have to move into adult dental care. Thank you staff, for a wonderful 6 years. I will miss you all.
Every time i go to the Children's Dental office on Crums Mill Rd. It is always a positive experience. Starting with the front staff, everyone is very nice and professional. They all seem to know how to handle children very well and makes the kids experience to the dentist a lot less nerve racking. The enviroment is very kid friendly. They have disney movies playing all the time and now have touch screen pads to play games on while they wait to be called. My 11 yr old and 7 yr old have no issues or fears of going there and that speaks volumes! I would recommend them to anyone.
