Chimney Rocks Park reviews
16Beautiful park with a beautiful view. Nice place to go, have a picnic or just to walk around and enjoy the sites and sounds
This is a lovely small park and the views from here are fantastic. We were visiting the area, but if I were local, I could see having family gatherings here. It was a nice clean park.
We stopped by to see what this place was about. It isn't a very big park, but it did have a play area, picnic tables and a walking path. I am guessing it got its name from the chimney feature tucked in the hill.
The rock formation is very unique and there is a path to climb to the top. Not a safe path, so make sure you take it easy. What was the best part was the overlook showing Hollidaysburg. You can see the entire town from there.
For a nice secluded park, it wasn't bad. A great place to get away from it for a while, but very limited parking.
Nice views and a shory walk. Neat park nestled along ridge of rock. Toilets were full of spiders on a Saturday morning.
It's beautiful here and what a view. You can see pretty far away. The walk up to it is pretty steep, but it's to be expected as high up as they are. The view is worth it though.
A nice park with some nice views. An improved children's playground would make this an excellent park. Currently it caters to an older crowd as it's main attraction (The Chimney Rocks Overlook) is best suited for adults and older children. A great place to picnic, or toss a ball around.
Beautiful and clean with excellent views of the surrounding town and mountains.
Around the park, there is a short trail up to the top of chimney rocks and back again (I estimate just over a mile in total). It has a few steep climbs so may be challenging if you are elderly or out of shape. The trail provides a number of viewpoints, each higher than the last.
Beautiful, amazing Park to visit lots of trails to walk on and benches to sit on what more could you ask for.
Such a beautiful view from the overlook. Not a very difficult trail to the top, so if you're looking for a challenge, it won't be here.
Nice park to walk around, good paths. They have a nice little jungle gym/swing area for kids and a covered patio with a tables and benches. The veiw iver Hollidaysburg is amazing and unmatched. Open Dawn till dusk and the home owners right before the entrance will and have called to cops on people up there past those times so don't stay too late. That being said Unfortunately you can't see Hollidaysburg while everyone has their lights on at night.
Wow. This park is a great place to host a picnic, throw a frisbee, or take a hike up the hillside. Beautiful view and such lush greenery.
We hiked the unapproved trail to the upper overlook. The morning dew rising made during golden hour made the trek worthwhile. Hiking boots made to grip on smooth, wet clay would be my recommendation.
Went up the official 0.7 mile trail but came down on the unofficial trail. Recommend going up the unofficial trail to the right of parking lot.
First time here but we will be back again, great up hill trail with an amazing view, just watch your step! (Not recommend to visit while cicadas are out)
It was a great hike. It is a step hill to climb but when you get to the top it has a beautiful view of the town and mountains.
Had a greatbtime and a nice walk. Its a pretty small park, but the views are pretty nice. Make sure you have hiking shoes if you plan on walking the trails.
