Pizza Takeout Chumpy's reviews
11I work here and I can say that our pizza's are fresh out the oven and we put love and care into our pizza's and subs
Did not enjoy the pizza at all! The bottom of the pizza was burnt! My parents who ordered the pizza wouldn't call and complain. If we order pizza from Chumpy's again we'll make sure to have them show us the bottom of the pizza. Not waisting money on burnt pizza again. These are two pictures on Chumpy's site. Pizza looks burnt to me.
When I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest people.
I went in for a couple slices of pepperoni pizza.they had just taken it out of the oven. At first sight, the crust looked amazing. They said that they take a lot of pride in their crust. I sure know why! That crust tasted as good as it looked! Their sauce tastes homemade.
I seriously found a new place to get awesome pizza.
While eating there, I talked with them. It was like I was a guest at their house for dinner.
Of course you want to start going to Chumpy's!
Large pie! Great crisp, finally a REAL NY style pizza place in the valley! Can't wait to get it again and try more items!
The BBQ wings were really great. Large wings, not crispy & packaging was good (blue cheese & celery in separate compartment, so they don't end up warm). The pizza was disappointing. It didn't look like their online pictures. It was super thin & the crust was crispy like a cracker. Taste wasn't horrible. It was ĵust ok.
I put up 2 pictures of one of the pizza slices.
Service was good but in all honesty the crust was so hard on our pizza we couldn't eat it barely any sauce. The wings weren't horrible but was disappointed: (
Let me tell you about the Chumpsters; lord have mercy, Jesus take the wheel, thank you to the pizza gods for saving me whilst renovating a house in the area, this pizza gives me something to look forward to during the long days! The owner's are beyond kind and accommodating and that pizza, yes, just yes. If you're a thin crust lover then this isn't the place for you - and honestly, the psych office probably is - BYE Felicia. If you like a fluffy, perfectly soft yet crispy, airy but just filling enough crust then GO HERE.
Toppings are ON POINT legit. Fresh and not OD like some of the "pizza houses" that when you order a topping it's like you've got a tsunami of it and can't even taste the cheese. It's all about balance and these guys got it locked down. Even when I order 4 toppings, some how there is a perfect balance as if they understand the anticipated flavoring and know how to limit each ingredient. BRAVO.
Now for the sauce.oh LORT, YAZSZSZS. This isn't your typical sauce, it's got character. One of these guys has gone to heaven and come back with the perfect blend of tomato, bite, flavor, and love and I can't get enough of it. Seriously, very unique and pure to the roots of the pizza gods. It has a SLIGHT kick but more on the pepper level not actual spiciness which I adore. It's amazing, I even ask for a side of it every time because after I finish a slice I need my crust doused in that SAUCE. YUM.
Admittedly my only comparison in this area is Pudgies and Dandy, YUCK, but I have travelled the globe indulging in excessive pizza tastings and I am genuinely pleased with this place. It's consistent which not many places can back up. Additionally, the hospitality when you go there is top notch and you could not leave there feeling a lack of welcome unless there's something you've done wrong.
Go Here and quit getting gross pizza elsewhere.
Awesome pizza. Had pepperoni topping. And NOT greasy! Sauce was great! Dough was perfect. We will be back. Best pizza in valley!
Absolutely the best pizza joint in the valley! Sauce is the only one I have had that isn't made with tons of sugar in it so it tastes like pizza sauce not marinara on crust, speaking of crust.crushes it! Perfect thickness, taste, and seasonings on it. Highly recommend!
Best pizza in the valley. It's the only joint that makes a non-sweet pizza sauce and I love it. Its got just the right amount of spice to it. My only complaint is lack of delivery and minimal hours open.
I really really liked the crust, and I'm hard to please with that. I thought the sauce was too sweet and would want more cheese please!
