Ciccanti Ristorante reviews
13 I've eaten at oh so many Italian restaurants, but I have NEVER had "Italian" dishes like what my husband and I had here tonight 02/01/23. CR tried very hard to appear upscale, but only the prices truly reflected that. Everything was heavy on the salt, the tripe smelled like it just left the slaughterhouse, and spicy shrimp pasta must have been a disguised runaway from an Indian restaurant. I'm just going to say that maybe the cook was unwell and stayed home. Good help is hard to find and the economy sucks.
It's a no for me. ️
Although the interior is a bit dated, the quality of the food, the attentiveness of the service, and the affordability of the prices far outweigh the tablecloths! Chicken Romano was so light and tender. Going back to this place!
The decor is still in the 70"s and the service can be quite slow, but the phenomenal, tastey food makes a trip here a definite recommendation. While some may think it a little pricey, the quality of the food and large portions make it worth while
Tried to get a couple beers after work and a six pack and go home! Frank the owner thought I was buying 1 beer with a credit card! And got ignorant! That's what you get for trying to help a small business.
I have been enjoying Frank's cooking for over 40 years. And it's true, practice makes perfect. The eggplant parmigiana, gnocchi, zucchini strips and lasagna are always delectable. It is apparent that cooking is his passion! And the waitress absolutely knew all that one could ask of anything on the menu. Top notch Italian restaurant!
Ist time there, limited menu due to staffing issues. Service excellent, food was authentic Italian and superb.
Absolute! One of my absolute favorite Italian restaurants in the Burgh! I've never had a bad meal here! Ever! Highly recommend the lunch specials!
Ciccanit’s is a good, old fashioned, Italian restaurant where the service is good, the food is great, and the portions are large. Most entrees come with soup, salad, and a side of pasta or vegetable of the day. We have been steady customers of Franky’s for about two decades and it never fails to have a good meal here. You’re going to love it.
Just had dinner there last nite and ordered a fish sandwich. The soup was excellent a chic pastina and fish was cooked just right a nice big sandwich, worth the price would go back!
Meh.was never super impressed, but it's definitely gone down hill. Stale bread, rubbery zucchini, rude owner.it's like you're doing him a favor patronizing his restaurant. Will not return.
Everything is delicious! Fresh bread, soup, salad, and pasta or veggies is served with almost every meal. The appetizers are amazing too! My grandparents just celebrated their 67th anniversary and they chose to dine here!
I love this restaurant. Definitely one of our favorites. The chicken a la Romano is amazing. Give it a try, it will become a favorite place for you as well.
They like every place else is short staffed, however the food was great, the 1 server they have hustled her butt off, and it was all very enjoyable, can't wait to go back!
