Ciocca Volkswagen of State College reviews

Gave me a great deal on a vehicle that I'm absolutely proud of owning. The only dealership that I've been to where they don't intimidate but instead try to honestly accommodate you. I plan on this vehicle lasting a long time but the next time I need one this is where I'm going. From the sales team to the financing team to management I felt like my personal interests were being put first. I can't come up with one negative thing.
A+ Service and sale.
Thank you team Ciocca!
Nathan listened to everything that I wanted in a car! Highly recommend him in helping with your next car search.
We have two cars from Volkswagen. Sales staff was great. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful!
I didn't buy my VW here but i hear the sales department is knowledgeable and i do my own oil changes with VW OEM Parts and the parts department (especially Lance!) is amazing. I walk in and he knows exactly what I need before I even speak. I change the oil on the car often because my wife is a long commuter. On the other hand the service department is awful. I have had 3 interactions with then and that was 3 too many for me. The first time was warrantyrecall work and they tried to get me to purchase additional services at insanely inflated dealership prices. I declined. The second time was when my car seemed to be using oil more frequently than the service intervals so i decided to get it at least looked over under the warranty period. This is when I unfortunately met Shawn Packer and he said that it was leaking from the oil plug (because as stated before i did my own service) and there were oil trails from the plug area (from the very dark previously drained oil.) and there was a non OEM oil plug used as a replacement (it was ordered online as an OEM Plug). He charged me an hour of service to have a tech glance at the oil drain area and told me that he had called the reginal VW rep stated what he saw and the rep said it was Ok to charge me for the service outside of a warranty concern. Recently and 70,000 miles later and outside the ABS system threw a code and I wanted to see what it was and get it repaired (bad sensor, module issue, whatever). I went to the dealership and asked what a code read would cost (thinking it would be like $50-75) and they wanted $188 plus tax I could buy my own VAGCOMVCDS setup for that much or buy an ODBeleven for $65. I declined and walked out the door, as i was leaving the service advisor who's name i didn't catch yelled "they are not simple cars! "
I did not purchase the vehicle. When we were to sign the paper work they tryed to get me to buy an extended warranty when I said no they brought another person in and when he told me the vehicle was like a cell phone and I needed the extra warranty I figured that cell phones are junk so the vehicle must of been to. So that being said I did not buy the vehicle. I felt really bad for the salesman for he did a really good job. The F&I sales person were the ones to change my mind
Communication with Sierra was great, she is very informative and helpful! My car is driving like it did before before I had my minor accident, which calmed my fears of it not being the same. Thankful for a local team who can repair vehicles and ensure there are no issues left behind in a timely fashion.
I recently just purchased a 2022 VW Tiguan. Nate was amazing at helping us find everything we were looking for. Very understanding and friendly, great personality for a salesman! Very open and transparent, vehicle was previously owned by him, was in great condition!
Thank you Nate
Very courteous staff and responsive. My salesperson (Maya Berky) was very professional and made the purchase very quick and easy. She was knowledgeable about the car and was very quick to respond to questions when I was in the dealership or even after I drove off the lot and texted her questions.
Nathan was super helpful and informative! I'm definitely coming to Ciocca for my next car!
I've always hated buying vehicles in state college specifically big companies like that. They refused to give free oil change because we were out of our mileage range. Also they said our second key would be in 1 week when we bought our vehicle in 2022 it was 2022 volkswagen atlas. It's been over a year now still no second key this is the last vehicle I will buy down here our friend also bought brand new volkswagen here and had issues with them we all switched to blue knob in altoona
As with my other service experiences at Ciocca, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The methods of communicating with me during the service are very clear and easy, and I appreciate the video updates. The multi point inspection gives me a clear understanding of the condition of my vehicle.
A very thorough and professional service department. Staff is super friendly and helpful.especially Brad the sales associate who helped me pick out an amazing Volkswagen Taos!
Our sales guy, Kyle was great. Very personable, funny and worked hard to help us. Overall we had a good experience!
Great communication during service visit. They use text messaging and Matthew Blasi was very responsive. And they send you a video summary of the service.
I just don't like car dealerships. Long ordeal just to find out I couldn't afford anything. Nice enough environment, I just don't like car dealerships in general.
Staff was friendly and helpful. However, it took far too long to have a key FOB programmed. A courtesy inspection was done though it was mentioned it would be done, nor did I ask for it to be done. Also, the price charge was about double what another dealer quoted. The reason we didn't go to the other dealer was they couldn't get us in right away and the place we purchased the car was covering the cost. Not sure if the price was higher because you all knew we weren't paying or if you all charge way too much for something so basic and easy. I likely would not use your dealership for any future work.
Do not take your car here for service. Do not let a college student take their car here. They will not fix it!
