City Winery Pittsburgh reviews
16I really enjoyed this venue for live music. Table service was excellent. Really enjoyed the pilot noir. Good food choices. Acoustics were excellent. I look forward to return visits.
I went to a show tonight by myself at City Winery for the first time. Excellent service, terrific food, (I had the lobster rissoto) and great service I will be back.
City Winery is an Awesome Franchise and I visit them in a number of cities.
What I don’t understand about the Pittsburgh Franchise is why are tickets 3 times higher than Chicago &. Atlanta for African American Entertainment.
(i.e. Marsha Ambrosia 2.5 x price higher than Chicago & Atlanta) ?
Baffled!
I enjoyed the company of friends which I will choose to celebrate with elsewhere. Food tasteless. Service slow.and online prices reflect different at restaurant it's false advertising.the whole thing tables food came except for the easiest thing the fries and once they came everything else was cold. Not worth time or money spent here and the manager on duty was rude.really not worth a star. My advice.stuck to events or up your service skills
We saw Blind Boys of Alabama and enjoyed some humus and a salad and their excellent beer list. The acoustics for the show were perfect, and the space, while a bit cramped, was comfortable. We'll go back for more performances for sure.
This music venue has the best sound I've ever been to. Every concert has been amazing and the wine is excellent as well!
Terrible. Just terrible. Expensive food that doesn’t come out warm. So seems even more ridiculous that it doesn’t all come out together. It wasn’t just cold but was also not good. I am a small person and could not sit in my seat without touching a stranger because it’s packed so tightly. Our waitress was incompetent. Those on one side of our table were checked on regularly and got several drinks in a timely manner. When she finally checked on our side of the table, we were informed the bar had closed. At 9: 35 on a Friday night? The bar had closed? So I enjoyed the pleasure of watching half our table enjoy their new drinks while the rest of us had none. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would rather watch a show with thousands of people than ever go back there.
I'm torn on this concert venue. The performer sounded great and everybody paid attention, but the constant distractions from wait staff and the bartender shaking drinks and the kitchen door opening and closing thousands of times was really distracting. My friend and I had balcony seats but were asked if we would mind sitting on the main floor in the back for staffing reasons. Okay, no problem.except for that obnoxious kitchen door. It felt like we were punished for trying to be flexible. Oh well! It was still an unforgettable night!
Beautiful venue. Went for a concert and seating was extremely tight but not bad. Food was good but way overpriced for what you got. Jack and coke in a small glass was 15 each, a bit excessive for me. Overall a nice place but now I know to eat before I arrive
The show was amazing, but the seating is horrible. They put people in there like sardines
We came in with a big group so it took a while to get everything to the table, but their policy is to bring food as it's ready, so not everyone will get their food at once. Not a large traditional menu, and not large portions. Food was good, service was very good.
Food was terrible portions were so small we left hungry had the lamb meatballs it was 4 dime sized bland meatballs that came with nothing else for 19 dollars it was pitiful wife had grilled shrimp also very small drinks were terrible also
Went to see Jessica Kierson at this venue. Gorgeous venue! My only concern was that the lava cake dessert was not properly prepared. There was a hard piece of chocolate in the center instead of the warm lava of chocolate that was expected.
Really nice venue. I’ve been here twice for a comedy show. Not sure why a winery wouldn’t have Moscato? But the Rosé was just ok. The food is not good. I tried to give them a second chance and still, no. The spinach and chickpeas was so salty! I can’t remember what I got the first time I was here back in September but it was nasty as well. The lamb meatballs tasted like dog food. The cauliflower was ok. Please get some better food. And Moscato!
Atmosphere is very nice, concerts extremely nice, but the food is not good at ALL. I went to the Chaka Khan brunch and ordered the avocado toast LOL! It was a boiled egg (sliced up) on one piece of hard bread with salad literally thrown on it. The guacamole was old, barely there, and was charged 16 bucks! DO BETTER City Winery. EAT before you attend the venues.
Great space in the Terminal Building and a wonderful venue for live music. I’d read the reviews prior to attending so was prepared for lackluster food. Our server was a bit aggressive; they should ask audience members if they want to order food since we were really just there for the show. We would up getting some small plates and I was quite pleased with the flavor and portion size of my kung pao cauliflower (something I plan to replicate at home), but my companion’s hummus was in desperate need of more salt and lemon juice and better olive oil. Do not recommend. The chair cushions are pretty slippery, and our table wobbly. Staff was all friendly. Easy, reasonably priced parking in the back.
