Update.still the best seafood restaurant in Delco.

Well, I've been going here for over 20 years, and it's still great! It's a no-brainer when you want good seafood, especially baked clams and crabcakes. Yum!

Excellent dishes, fantastic steak and seafood. Highly recommend the baked clams. Reasonable drink prices too!

It was delicious- would definitely eat there again. They have really large portion sizes- plenty for three meals- I enjoyed my meal for lunch and dinner the next day! The service was great (can’t remember their names, as it was 3 weeks ago, but I sat at the bar) and I would definitely recommend trying out this diamond in the rough. You won’t be disappointed!

What an old school corner place. It's a no frills place but the food is out of sight! I can't believe the value. The food should cost double!

It's a bit pricey but the food is delicious! The server was attentive but not overly. The baked clams were delicious.

Delicious food was cooked to perfection. Excellent service. Parking a bit tight. Not handicap accessible, however.

This is *the* place for a good seafood and steak dinner. Relaxed, old school charm…. Attentive service…and, exceptional food. What else could you want?
We had a shrimp appetizer special, fried mozzarella, Caesar salads, NY Strip steaks with crab imperial, baked potato, and broccoli. Oh, and the bread! Steaks were a perfectly cooked medium.
The raw oysters looked perfectly shucked - don’t miss them if you love oysters.
Make reservations because they get busy…for good reason. Tony, the owner, is the best in the business - always doing whatever needs to be done: busing tables, greeting customers, singing happy birthday with his conch shell, and, I’m sure, working the line when when the kitchen gets busy.

Didn't have reservations so sat at the bar. But the whole time high tops behind us were available the whole time we were there? Food was delicious though!

Excellent food and service. When your chef comes to your table, you know it's good. Anthony Blanche is a great owner.

When friends come in to town and they want to go to a nice local place, we bring them here.

Excellent dinner at this old school Clifton Heights staple. Busy for a Friday night and we didn't have reservations so we opted for the bar which is first come first serve so if you want a table reservations are recommended.

Bartender and barback provided us with phenomenal and attentive service. I ordered the filet special with mushrooms, crab, sun-dried tomatoes in a creamy marsala sauce and my husband got the ribeye. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and gave that perfect melt in your mouth bite.

We will be back to the clam tavern. Old school divey vibes but with excellent food and service.

First time going here, the wife & i were in the mood for good food, she had shrimp & scallop scampi, fried calamari I had new england clan chowder, stuff mushrooms & fried shrimp. The food was so good that we ordered salmon Oscar & Don Anthony to go. The atmosphere and staff was very nice. Will Definitely Be Back.

One of the absolute best meals I have ever had in Philly. Walking in, you get the sense that this place hasn't changed since it opened in the 1960s. They even use the original menus as place mats with the original prices still listed! Although the cost of seafood has changed since then you won't regret a single penny spent at the Clam Tavern. The staff was attentive and wonderful, the drinks were sublime and the seafood was simply to die for. If you're looking for a classic and delicious way to spend an evening look no further.

1st time here. Our server was Excellent! The food as well as the drinks were on point. My boyfriend had the crab cakes and let me just say.they were all crabmeat! He loved them. We both had the New England clam chowder.soo many clams in it. Definitely recommend that. Will definitely go back.a few more times.

The place was empty and I could not get reservations at 6 o'clock can figure out why, when I got there at My reservation time which was still dinner time.the place was pretty much empty 2 people in the room that I was in and 4 people in the room upstairs and a couple people at the bar.
The waitress was in a hurry to take our order so we hurried up and ordered When the food came out it was cold it took forever to get a second drink I was already done my dinner by time the 2nd drink came. The clams on the half shell had shells in them broken pieces not just one most of them. The food was not what it used to be either I guess Inflation is hitting all of us I used to love this place it might be a long time before I go back there again

Clam Tavern’s baked clams are by far the best I’ve tasted. My partner and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, and they did not disappoint.

Food just okay but Horrible service! The owner is awful and rude! I don't recommend this place, me and our friends have and never will be back.
