Clear Creek State Park reviews
16We LOVE Clear Creek! Sometimes we drive the 1 hour 10 minutes just to have a picnic along the river.
We visited in November and were surprised at how many of the cabins were occupied. It's a beautiful setting with pristine creek and woods, a large open pine forest near the camping area. The roads are recently paved and very nice. We stayed in a yurt which was a new experience and we highly recommend it. Our back porch was right on the bank of the Clarion river! The yurts are insulated and have electric heat, so we stayed cozy even though nighttime temps were in the teens. Also recommend hiking on the river trail and Irish rock trail.
Really nice state park. Wish they were all this nice. Very well maintained and such a beautiful area.
One of my favorite PA State Parks. Have been renting a cabin every spring for the past 10+ years. The setting is beautiful along the Clarion River. Each cabin is unique and we always enjoying trying new ones. Lots of hiking and fishing opportunities. Great playground for kids and also a great campground for them to travel by bike. Bathrooms are well maintained.
As we walked around the Clear Creek State Park, we couldn’t find any bad camping sites. The people were fantastic and it is family oriented.
First of all the park is in a beautiful setting nestled down in a hollow along the Clarion River. It's heavily forested and offers access to the river itself. There is a little bit of a drive back to the river and the heart of the park. It is heavily visited and quite crowded along the river. If you are looking to camp or access the river, it probably would be a higher rating. If you are looking for a nice quiet setting to do some naturalist activities ie.birding, lepping. This may not be the spot during some months of the year. Definitely a family oriented state park with lots of space for everyone to stretch their legs and enjoy our beautiful state.
Beautiful place to camp especially the wooded tenting sites. It is nice that it is on the river but there are plenty other nice camping options in the area.
This park is absolutely stunning. There are wonderful hiking trails and an abundance of peace and quiet. All park patrons are respectful and friendly and the facilities are well maintained.
Very beautiful here. They have a beach, camping areas, cute little log cabins, and things for kids to do. As we were driving through, on a Saturday, I saw so many beautiful animals, kids riding their bikes, a little powwow that kids got to be with the park ranger and a movie projector with rows of seating. I'll definitely be returning for a weekend camping trip.
We really enjoy camping at Clear Creek. Family friendly. Lots of nature. Giant trees. Clear streams.
2nd yr @ Clear Creek, and already planning next yrs adventures there! This park and surrounding area is becoming our 2nd home. It’s great for fishing, tubing, hiking, riding bikes, relaxing, and so much more.
Always a great decision to walk a trail and experience the great outdoors Cook Forest style!
Perfect! Beautiful setting. Spots all the way to end or in the beginning are our favorites. In the 30's the spaces are too close for us. Super clean showers. We LOVE this place!
There was work being done. We'd like to spend our anniversary week here but I was unable to find a high end restaurant to celebrate our actual anniversary. I'm a bit sad about that.
Stunningly beautiful state park with a very cute campground in a scenic setting. Definitely worth a visit!
