I mean. It was good. My first ever Philly cheesesteak. Bread was a little hard. Food a tad bland. I was underwhelmed. I think it was good just expecteded more from such an iconic sandwich. However it can only deliver so much. Not even in the same stratosphere as a New Orleans Po-Boy. In my honest opinion.

Did lunch here at the prompting/recommendation of a co-worker. The classic sammich was a solid 8/10. Good quality meat. Bun had a good chew. It was a decent meal, just didn't blow my socks off.

A very cool place to get a local cheesesteak. The sandwich tasted really good but was missing the cheese part. There was cheese, but not much. Other than that, it's very good.

It was meh. Second time in Philly. The hotel staff highly recommended this establishment. I got a standard Philly cheese steak with cheese wiz and fries. Overall it’s too much hype. The bread was hard, almost stale. I ate the smallest half of the sandwich and give the rest away. It’s pricey and in my opinion not worth it. Staff was rude to my friend for requesting cheese wiz who even offered to pay. I could see this being stoner food or good food after heavy drinking.

We were just passing through and decided to stop here for food. The portions were a lot bigger than I was expecting, we would have been fine sharing something instead of getting our own.

Ok! I was super excited to try Cleavers. It’s a center city hot spot for Philly locals/ and travelers. I ordered two cheesesteaks for pick up by phone (you have to pay via card over the phone to start order***), the process was very swift and DONE IN 15 MINUTES ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! Incredible experience so far... Then decided to give the steaks a try while they were hot near by and was SADLY disappointed by the most important factor to a “Philly Cheesesteak”, the ROLL! The seeded rolls were STALE! You can tell the rolls have been sitting out & the bread was scraping the roofs of our mouths during each bite. It was such a disappointment because the inside components were DELICIOUS but it honestly would have been better off on fresh slice loaf bread prepared at home. Being from Philadelphia you know a good steak when you have one, I wouldn’t recommend Cleavers if asked at all. Yes, the roll matters! It should never be HARD. You will always know the difference. Wish you a better experience.

Stopped in during my trip to Philly for a Philly cheesecake, and Cleavers did NOT disappoint. The service was quick, and staff were friendly. I took my order to go, and it did not take more than roughly 5 minutes to make. Since it was my first cheesesteak, the staff helped me pick a good choice (thanks!). They recommended the cheesesteak hoagie that came with ribeye steak, white American cheese, romaine lettuce, plum tomatoes, raw onions, and mayonnaise. I am still dreaming of a Cleavers cheesesteak! Also, as a side note, these cheesesteaks are huge and definitely shareable. I also had their waffle fries with cheese dipping sauce, because why not, they were perfectly crisp and delicious. If you are in the area and want a good Philly cheesesteak, I would definitely recommend Cleavers!

I bought into the hype of this place but was sorely disappointed. The worst part of this cheesesteak is the bread! The bread had no flavor and no hint of butter or anything on it. I only give 3 stars because the service was good and they were fast despite there being a lot of ppl.

Tried several cheesesteaks at Phillies and this is my favorite one!
Got an Italian cheesesteak, it’s really a massive portion and very tasty!

The best thing is that you can order at Kiosk to customized your sandwich, less pressure for non-local to order.
