Cochran Ford Butler County

They charged me almost $2,000 dollars to replace an HCU for the brakes on my wife's car and later found that the problem was the right rear caliper which would have been around $500. They then tried to talk me into paying the extra $500 to fix the caliper. The Service Manager was not professional at all and, knowing the brakes were unsafe, told me to just come get my car and wasn't going to fix it. After a lot of negative discussion, they finally replaced the caliper. It cost me almost $2,000 for a $450 repair.

Fantastic service. I moved here recently and needed to find a Ford dealership-the staff here was congenial, prompt and professional, and they made me feel very welcome.

I will now drive 100 miles to avoid them. Since Cochran took over, their service department is a catastrophe. No one has a clue what’s going on. Rude, not customer oriented, clueless. It’s a shame.

Inquired about getting an extra key made and also a print out of the build sheet for my 2010 Ford Transit Connect and they told me it was too old for them to do either. Called Grove City Ford and it was no problem to do both.

Waited two hours for a simple oil change after scheduling it two weeks in advance. The tech took three smoke breaks while my truck was on the rack.

New Edit. No one is left from the original Butler Ford. Service is terrible. They try to be slick by charging for emissions - not needed in Butler County. Don't honor Ford coupons. I'll drive further for my service and new vehicles.

***NOTE: This review was made before Cochran bought Butler Country Ford. It isn't quite the same now. A few of the original nice people are still there but when you have service work done you are charged for EVERY little thing. BCF never did that. ***
I have been buying Ford/Lincoln products since 1979. For the past 6 years Butler County Ford has been my dealership of choice. This is the only dealership that made me feel totally comfortable to deal with. I trust them. Their deals on vehicles (and financing) have always been fair and painless-never any pressure to buy. Their vehicle service has always been great! You get the feeling that they are really trying to give you a good experience when you visit their dealership. Any time I had an issue, they were prompt and courteous with me. One of the greatest assets they have are the people that work there. Every time you visit you work with the same people. Year after year. When I see a dealership that doesn't have a lot of personnel turnover, I know I've found a dealer that cares about more than the bottom line $$$. They have a easy, cool vehicle drop off point. If you have to wait for your vehicle they have a nice, quiet, brand new waiting room with free WiFi, coffee, TV! Businesses that operate like this are hard to come by these days. I never rate a business at 5 stars, but this dealer deserves it. Keep up the good work!

Very disappointed with the call service line. My Ford manual directed me to contact a Ford dealer r/t an issue I was having with the power steering and computer warnings. I was told to schedule an appointment with the dealer and have them run a $150 diagnostic without any explanation or direction on what could be the issue. It’s basically the equivalent of the doctor telling you to get an immediate x-ray of your foot without doing any form of an assessment first.
