Colonial Hyundai reviews
18Christina and Lou were great to work with. Lou is extremely knowledgeable and matter of fact. The finance office was easy too, being straightforward and easy to understand. Would definitely recommend these 3 people to work with.
Do not trust this dealership! I researched a used car, brought it to my mechanic where they found a host of issues. I brought it back to the dealer and they tried to push back that the car had been reviewed by their mechanics and nothing was wrong. Well i negotiated that if they fix the problems and my mechanic gives the thumbs up, then i would buy it for the listed price (which is hidden as they only post trade in prices). When they looked into the issues my mechanic found, they realized the engine was about to fail. Their mechanics missed that this car was absolute junk. I spent 6 hours on this process for nothing. The owner promised he would make it right as he spends tons on advertising and promised a good deal on another vehicle within a couple days. After multiple attempts to get in touch, i have been ghosted by the dealership. No offers on any other similar vehicles. The mechanics cant be trusted, and the owner promises the world but delivers nothing and hopes you go away. This review probably means nothing to them but it represents a full days work of wasted time and multiple attempts over weeks of frustration to try and follow up. Don’t shop here, especially with the downturn in the market coming.
I will start off by saying we bought our new Hyundai from here and the experience was great.
Now the bad. We took our car in for service which was a simple oil change and tire rotation. We were then up sold on a service which we agreed to. This service included a fuel injection service, battery service and one other thing but not sure what it was. After we got the car back I check the battery to see what service was completed. NOTHING! Which makes me wonder if any work was done or they just collected the money? ! This is why people don’t trust dealerships.
I did call and speak with Donna to ask what the battery service was at that time I let her know that it was not completed and I wonder if any work was done. She did say she would bring it up to higher management. I can say she was not the issue. I just don’t trust the service department as a whole.
Typical greedy dealership. Tried to get someone to tell me what the market adjustment is over the internet and phone. After finally going to the dealership, I found out it’s 10%. I would rather go to Faulkner in Harrisburg or Philly and Bennett in Lebanon neither of them charge market adjustments. Even Lancaster Hyundai only charges $1900 but ceramic coats the vehicle to offset some cost. 10% is astronomical for most of these cars. On a palisade or Santa Fe you’re looking at close to a $5000 dealership greed charge. That’s a good chunk of your trade or downpayment! Don’t give them business and don’t let them tell you it’s about inventory. Faulkner has a lot of inventory and a lot of in transit inventory. Buy from dealers that don’t try and rip off their customers.
I gave my car for service this month. They performed a oil change and multipoint inspection. They recommended me to change filters and the service cost was around $200. I requested them trice to top up the basic fluids and reminded them constantly before picking the car. I took the car and drove to home to see my car not starting and heating up. I looked at fluids and saw that coolant was low right after the service. The car also would not start because the battery was dead and had to be replaced. I don’t know what the point of service was but I guess they just gave my car as is. Worst service center ever. Had very good experience with Hyundai except this one. I would never go back. Stay away.
When you need anything, be sure to ask for Jeff. He’s one of the best salesman I have ever worked with and gladly cleaned up the mess of other salesmen at this dealership. Most of the people at this dealership are beyond shady and lie about everything. SPECIFICALLY JIM (Lies about prices and everything to get a sale)! But trust me, as long as you have Jeff on your side, he will get you what you need and take care of you. STAY AWAY FROM JIM HE IS A TERRIBLE EMPLOYEE AND WILL SCREW YOU OVER ANY CHANCE HE GETS!
Thanks again for the car Jeff! You’re awesome!
Great customer service! I had bought a very nice used 2019 vehicle and added the extra warranty. I was told it will cover everything including my DVD player. Not knowing it was an after market DVD player but Dave the manager made sure it was replaced with not issues. Not only that but going into buying the vehicle Christina Milbourne was an excellent sales rep she helped me with all my questions and trying to learn the vehicle. Christina took time after hours to even help me and responded promptly to emails. Rob Barba was great on helping me purchasing the warranty and making sure I made the best decision when going into buying a used car.
Thanks to all of you at Colonial Hundai!
The service I received was very unprofessional. I reached out about buying an SUV and gave the 'live chat' responder my email for someone to contact me. Gian Rodriguez emailed me, and while I let him know I was in the market to purchase today/ASAP, he only replied with mostly one word answers. Not the kind of service I would expect from someone trying to make a sale. The 3 star rating should've been the first red flag. I'm glad I didn't waste anymore of my time.
Best place ever to buy a vehicle! Service and Sales are top notch. We have purchased seven Hyundai vehicles. Whatever the model, the performance has served us well. The trade in value has always been above expectations. The bottom line has always been affordable. Once you by a Hyundai at Colonial you won't have any reason to go anywhere else.
Our sales rep was nice, but everything about this place is disorganized. They could not find the keys for a vehicle we wanted to look at, they did not return our phone calls, and we also spent over 5 hours waiting to purchase a vehicle. If the market was not so crazy right now, we would have looked else where for our Santa Fe. Also, their sale price is not as advertised online. At the last minute they add on $1,785 in fees that are not even including additional fees for registration, lien.etc. They say it is in the "fine print" on the bottom of their website. Not one of my better experiences at a car dealership.
Reviews from the prior owners complained of extra added fees but I decided to give them a try anyways since it was under new management. $1200 in added fluff for windshield coating, nitrogen filled tires, windshield etching and a pre delivery inspection. After taking 4 hours to get me signed and gone I didn't feel like arguing. Buyer beware.
Excellent sales person but had agreed upon terms that dealer (sales manager and finance manager) changed after we came back to the dealership to finalize the deal. Even though car was then more expensive and interest rate higher than what we agreed upon, the sales manager tried to convince me I was actually getting a better deal. And the Finance manager was rude when I questioned him about the changed terms. At the last minute, they also add hundreds of dollars in overly-priced add ons like rain-proofing.
Everyone was extremely polite and courteous, willing to accommodate in any way. The ownership was fair and did not "price gouge" despite the recent car shortage. They made purchasing a car an extremely stress free and easy experience. I would highly recommend purchasing from this dealership!
Had an appointment at 8: 30 for an oil change. Told them I was going to wait for it. An hour later my car was still sitting outside. Finally done after two hours. Not acceptable.
I felt very welcomed when I went into this particular location, we had a few laughs before looking at cars! But I just wanted to thank my salesman Anthony again! Anthony did everything he could to get me into the car I had my eyes on. I originally went in to trade my Hyundai Sonata for a newer one but the new 2022 Hyundai Elantra is what I purchased! He also made me feel comfortable, not your typical “pushy” salesperson! He was very patient with me && the many questions I had. I’ve had my car a little over a week now and I’m in love! Thanks to everyone that helped that day appreciate y’all!
We just purchased a new Hyundai and ican t begin to tell you how great the team at Colonial was.we had our 2 yo grandson with us and for the entire 3 hours we were there they all played with and entertained him. Lou actually got down on the floor to play ball with him. He even called next day to make sure my grandson got home safely.
Really enjoyed the visit to Colonial. After being at several other dealership who just were overall not friendly. Jim our salesman was fantastic. Funny, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure that my boyfriend was 100% happy with his purchase and that he was well informed on everything. He is what a salesperson should be like honest, upfront and work with the person to make the sale happen and everyone happy overall. Thanks Jim! Will send others to you!
I recently bought a vehicle from this dealership and could not be happier! I have been to a few dealerships recently and none have been as welcoming as colonial. Jim b. Is a fantastic salesman! I absolutely love my purchase! I didn't have to play games back and forth and got a great car at a great price! Thanks colonial!
