William didn’t do his homework and on March 2,2022 my dad died from cardiopulmonary arrest. I blame William Charlton because my dad was not a candidate for knee surgery. And in the last 3 weeks of my fathers life, he suffered from an immense amount of pain because he couldn’t get in touch with the doctor for more pain medication after the knee surgery.

Recently saw Dr Charlton for a wrist injury. Made an appointment based on reviews online. Wish I didn’t, waste of time and money. Second experience with a doctor from Commonwealth health, it will be my last. Explained what happened to wrist, seemed uninterested. Talked a mile a minute. Kept telling me i’m going to be fine, you’re young. Ummm. 44yo isn’t a spring chicken. Told him I had x-rays of wrist and forearm, blew it off. Did some motions to my wrist, had me push against him. Instant diagnosis of tendonitious. When showed him clicking in my wrist, instantly said it was trigger finger, i’ll be fine. Started to walk out of room, never saying anything. I asked if that was all, he yup just go check out. Got an email of summary, Notes said cervical radiculopthy (pinched nerve). No other notes listed. Complete garbage medicine. All of the 8 minutes I was there I’m still in pain but $75 lighter.

Took forever with multiple appointments to determine my meniscus was torn. Slowest office I’ve ever been in, give yourself a hour and a half for each appointment and you’ll only see the doctor for 5 minutes. Told Dr.multiple times I didn’t want any strong pain meds. Only to have him prescribe them anyway! Oxy by the way! Then after surgery called 3 times to make follow up to know avail. Finally drove to office and made appointment in person. Couldn’t schedule PT through phone system and received no help from Dr.office for PT. At follow up had to tell nurse to put on gloves to remove my stitches. Then waited over a hour before finally walking out never seeing the doctor at the post surgery follow up. Now I’m trying to get records for my new doctor and I have to sign a release in person or through fax. No email or over the phone, plus a fee for record transfer to another doctor! Good luck dealing with this system! It didn’t work for me!

He is the most arrogant Dr I have ever met! I went in with shoulder pain and since nothing shows up on my MRI I guess Im not worthy of his time. No one wants to wait weeks for an appt in pain to see a Dr, and feel like your just wasting his time. In one breath he is commenting that you shouldnt look stuff up on the interenet and then 2 seconds later tell me to go look up my problem. I would rather suffer than bother this Dr ever again. I pay for my insurance so I dont appreciate having a Dr speak to me like im stupid. No matter how big or small an issue we all would appreciate a little concern and patience explaining things

My husband is one week post shoulder replacement.
Dr. Charlton was courteous, personable, and professional.

Dr. Charlton saw my son for a third opinion after injuring his left wrist in a snowboarding accident. The Dr.from the emergency room that originally saw my son x-rayed his wrist and saw nothing outstanding, no breaks or fractures. Then that doctor put a velcro splint on him and said their radiologist would look at the pictures and call is with the results. Upon arriving home we recieved the radiologists call and he said the only problem he saw was a bend in the growth plate. He said to keep the velcro splint on him 24 hrs a day. Researching the growth plate and finding out the seriousness of the injury if it does not heal correctly, I made an appointment with Dr. Charlton. Having gone to him in the past myself I knew how good he was and trusted him. When Dr. Charlton looked at the same x-rays the others had; he found not one but two fractures in the forearm just above the wrist. He placed a cast on the fractured area up to the elbow. So, again thank you Dr. Charlton. He is one of the best orthopedic doctors in our area. Also, ALWAYS SEEK A SECOND OR THIRD OPINION FOR ANY MAJOR AILMENT IN THIS VALLEY!

Dr. Charlton is kind, considerate and is very caring about the issues you are having. It's so nice to have a doctor who pays attention. So happy I found him.

Very good doctor! He listens and understand me. He takes time out to explain everything to me and he doesn't sugar coat nothing, he's straight up! I love this doctor. He did my surgery on my shoulder and I'm feeling great and he's the one found out about my other problems and explain it to me when no one else would. Thank u Dr Charlton for being the doctor I needed.
