Complete Care at Berkshire, Reading PA

It’s a good place to have your loved one staff is very helpful and friendly I highly recommend this facility

My Husband and I drove 6 hours to see our best friend who is staying in this place. I was so disappointed. Some staff don’t do their job, leaving the patient sitting in his own urine for more than 5 hours. I would not recommend letting anyone you love stay here.

I visited my friend. Every staff member I come in contact with in person or via phone is friendly and happy to assist. My friend says everyone is nice and don't ignore her needs. They happily attend to her. We are grateful.

Me and my husband enjoyed our time with our oldest brother and I appreciated the very much the way that the staff handle things in a professional manner when it came to answering any questions that I may have had in regards about my brother. They was very kind and generous to me. Thanks so ever much in the services that they provide to my love one.

Was not very happy with this place. If mom needs to be put in a facility for rehab again, it won't be here. The nurses she had were really great, and most of aids were too. The people doing the rehab were nice. It is just that they are really not equipped. The rooms are small, and their visitors need to stand mostly. They lost her glasses and cloths. They were instructed not to take them to be washed and that I would do it. Other negative things, too. 5 stars for the nurses and aids.
Update.received a call stating they didn't find her cloths. I was told that if I repurchased the articles, they would reimburse me. I took the receipts over. The lady at the front desk copied them for me and said she would make sure the appropriate person would get them. Weeks later, and I am still waiting.
Update.we finally received reimbursement for mom's things today. They did stand by their word on that.

Their short term rehab is terrible. My mother was there for 4 weeks and would have died if she stayed there. Her complaints of pain were ignored by the staff and doctor. The physical therapy was very poor, short duration and limited scope. They did not have her up and walking daily. The rooms were very cramped, barely enough room for visitors. The meals were terrible, poor food and cold most of the time. We were able to get her out of there to a much better rehab facility and she is almost ready to come home now. As soon as she got to the other facility they sent her to the hospital to address the pain she was complaining about. She had an infected cyst on her liver causing the pain she was complaining about - that was ignored at Complete Care of Berkshire. Over 4 liters of fluid was removed from the infected cyst. The hospital doctor said if the cyst ruptured she would have died. If you or your loved one needs short term rehabilitation find another facility if you want them to get better.

Stay as far away from this place as you can. Unprofessional and unorganized. Management is just as bad as the nurse/doctors staff. No communication from staff, and their attitudes, just forget it- if you love your family do not let them come here.

The reception was lovely. Very helpful. However, when I got to the floor to visit the door was locked and I was ignored as waited for someone to come to the door as employees just walked the other way, after seeing me stand there unable to open the door?
Only one chair in room, isn’t very inviting either.

Everyone that I have encountered while visiting my Grandmother has been so friendly and kind. Thank you.

The staff and administration were great. They were professional and compassionate with the care of our loved one. This experience has greatly exceeded my expectations.
