Compton's Pancake House

Food was really good for a basic breakfast place. I don't know if it has any major history, but the place has really good service and was very busy for a Saturday morning. It looks like business is busy and good. Seems like they are well known!

Food was okish, coffee was gross.
Homefries were not impressive, which was why we went out for breakfast to begin with.
Waitress was super rude about my toddler playing with the sugar packets. We always clean up after her, she just likes to sort them

It seem like a nice place to get some breakfast but they never told me how much the order cost. Because if I had known it cost 72.00 I wouldn’t have got the food. They robbing people man. It’s not right. And a 7.00 tip fee and another fee. I don’t recommend anybody to go to this restaurant unless you rich. The name speaks for itself.

Worst service and rude staff. Closes early when they don’t want to sit people anymore. And will def go back and forth with a customer when they are wrong. I’m so glad I had This experience once I’ve matured or whew, it would’ve gotten ugly (just like the worker pictures below)

The food was fantastic, the scramble eggs and my husband fried hard eggs where perfectly done to our request. The waitress we had was friendly and very helpful. We will be going back. Oh the pancakes where good as well

My husband & I ate at Compton's last year when we were on vacation. We liked it so much that we made it a point to eat there again this year. Good food at reasonable prices.

$46 for breakfast for 3. Also had to pay a $4 charge for using a credit card. Home fries were lukewarm and I couldn’t find the cheese in my omelet. One of the waitresses and the “hostess” (she is the lady that sits and tells you to seat yourself) were yelling to each other the whole time we were there. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Never returning.

Our food was great and our server was even better! However, the older hostess at front was nasty towards the end. Server was obviously busy or frazzled and hostess was supposedly helping her out. Made a snide comment about our very kind server. Split the bill cash and card w another person, she muttered something about "wringing someone's neck out". Not great. She seems to make our dining experience worse everytime I go there and I have been going there since I was a child.

Have been going here for over a decade whenever we are in the Poconos but have had issues with the orders on the last 3 visits. This last time the issue was never addressed bc the waitress never checked on us. When paying, they wouldn’t take it off the bill… and there was a fight with police on scene as we were leaving. But I’ll still leave two stars for the other food we ordered

This place is overrated The manager is rude, and loud and had a attitude because I wanted to make sure that my order was correct. My food was cold. This is the second time that this place rubbed me the wrong way you try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I will deathly not recommend this place and will not be coming back.

Customer service is amazing. First walk in warm welcome. My server Ms. Jackie was attentive and precise. Very friendly and sweet. Food was out in 10 min. Order was correct and food was amazing. Five stars guys!

When l was a customer there in the past before it shut down for whatever reasons
it was great. Breakfast! There now in my opinion not good. Also the prices are to high.

All was well! Except for the 2 year old boy who kept clapping and shouting in the booth next to us.
I think it was a challenge for the parent with two boys in a full restaurant for breakfast, and I tried to have compassion, even with having a headache!
They came highly recommended by the hotel we stayed in!
Food was excellent, Waitress very pleasant & pretty!

Enjoy eating here. Staff is always efficient and friendly. You are never rushed. Pancakes are the best. Omelets are quite good. Always busy but very clean. Prices are affordable.

Food is always good but the workers are something else. Always rude and nasty especially the older lady in the front to collect money. Never coming here again. Place went down hill so much.smh what a shame.

Compton omelets with home fries were excellent with a hot cup of tea.
There is signage that say "Discout for cash payment" because they charge an extra 3.75% if you use a card. But that is only posted by the register.

Be careful. The sides are incredibly overpriced. $6 per egg is a lot. Made my usual pancake and eggs into a $22 meal before coffee.

I've always loved Compton's pancake House. You get a wonderful breakfast with wonderful portions and a friendly well staffed restaurant.

Me being a well-known customer I went there the other day and they wouldn’t let me make a to go order because they said they were too busy.and I was only one person and they denied my service because I wanted it to go. I got really annoyed because I travel to go there for their food because it’s good but for that to happen really sucked And now I don’t ever wanna go back. There were so many people seated and waiting but I wasn’t allowed to sit and wait for my food and have it to go that’s really not cool Considering how much I go there and spend my money. Their excuse was there is only two cooks but they were taking in the whole parking lot and I was only one person.i’ve never had Any other problem and their food is amazing I’m just really disappointed they wouldn’t serve me

Nice inside. We dined in, and the wait staff was fast, helpful, and pleasant. The food is price reasonably and was cooked quickly without having to be sent back. Personally, I felt that the biscuits from the biscuits and gravy tasted a bit like baking soda, and the hravy couldn't have used a bit more seasoning. However over all the food was good and I would visit again.
