Concierge Ballroom, Philadelphia PA

My fiancé and I saw a booth for this place at the Wedding Expo in Philadelphia 2023. If we signed up that day, they were offering a free dance lesson of our choice for our first dance at our wedding. We went today 10 February 2023 before our date night at Cuba Libre. My fiancé and I really enjoyed learning some steps for our first dance which will be Bachata. We are planning to sign up for the 20 lessons before our Wedding date scheduled for early next year. If you are looking for a place to learn a dance of your choosing for your first dance with your new partner; look no further. We recommend giving this place a shot. They customize the music and dance in a way in which you and your partner will be happy with your choices.

Colleen was our instructor for the first dance of our wedding. We started to think about the first dance very late (about a little more than 1 months before our wedding), but Colleen helped us overcome all the challenges despite our lack of experience in ballroom dancing. She has been incredibly patient, effective, and kind. Our wedding was in a museum in San Francisco and the room had some obstacle (i.e, sculptures) right in the middle, which makes dancing all the more difficult. Colleen choreograph a dance surrounding the sculpture for us, and everything worked out smoothly and perfectly. We recommend Colleen in the strongest possible terms to any couple who are looking for an instructor for their wedding dance or beyond)

Concierge Ballroom is AWESOME! My wife and I took 7 or so dance lessons in preparation for our wedding and were very impressed by our instructor, Aaron. He crafted a specific routine for our dance that was not too difficult to master but impressed our guests. He was patient with us as neither one of us had taken lessons before and had us laughing and enjoying ourselves at each lesson. We liked the lessons so much that my mom joined for two as well to practice our mother/son dance. We couldn't recommend Concierge enough for anyone looking for dance lessons to prepare for their wedding day.

My husband and I took lessons here in preparation for our wedding day. We took about 6-7 classes and it was such an amazing experience! We worked with Aaron who was so awesome and beyond patient, and we cannot recommend him enough. My husband does not have any rhythm and has never ever danced before. He was so nervous when I asked him to attend lessons with me in prep for our first dance song for our wedding. After the second class, my husband felt so much more at ease, and I really do think that is because of how great Aaron is. He really knows how to slow things down and explain the moves and steps in different ways, so that both you and your partner can get the moves down. I do have prior dance experience, but have no experience with ballroom dancing. I was SO nervous to perform infront of all of our guests at our wedding, but I have to say the dance went perfectly and everyone was so shocked at our skills! Aaron did an amazing job choreographing the dance for our wedding. We highly highly recommend him!

We’ve had amazing time working with Aaron for our wedding dance. He choreographed a beautiful dance to the song lover that we picked out. I can’t describe how happy I am that we signed up to do a wedding dance and also at this studio. I started going here to learn west coast swing. I have no dance background and I’m not preparing for any event. I just thought it would be something cool and fun to do.

I didn’t realize how much I would LOVE it. I learned how to count music for the first time! I finally understand what people mean when they say “5-6-7-8”.

Colleen and Aaron have both been teaching me. It’s a really fun environment, but with a pretty clear progression schedule. It’s the best of both worlds because we have a lot of fun and get stuff done.

I find myself enjoying music so much more since I started dancing. When I make dinner, I’ll put on headphones and find myself grooving to some west coast swing playlists. When I’m waiting for the elevator, I always end up practicing my steps.

I highly recommend coming here if you wanna pick up something new, enjoy movement and music, and meet some pretty cool people

I am always impressed by the fact that you and Tomas always have specific goals for us at each lesson and yet you are able to adapt them to meet our strengths and weaknesses. It always feels like we are getting thoughtful and personalized instruction!

My (now) wife and I took dance lessons from Tomas leading up to our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Tomas taught us some great moves and gave us the tools to effortlessly nail the first dance and impress our guests on our wedding night (FYI neither of us had much dance experience going in). In addition to designing and teaching us an awesome dance that felt natural and authentic, the lessons themselves were incredibly fun and something we looked forward to every week. We signed up for a 10-lesson package and it was worth every penny. It is clear Tomas and Colleen care about their clients and I would absolutely recommend them to any friends or family!

Colleen was wonderful to work with. My husband and I were a little late to the game in starting dance lessons prior to our wedding but Colleen was able to make it work and scheduled us as much as she could before our big day to make sure we were going to be comfortable the day of. She took the time to cut our music, choreograph a whole dance, and had a solid game plan for how and when she was going to teach us what. It all made sense practice after practice and got easier towards the end. We enjoyed all of our practices and the end result was incredibly worth it! We would recommend Colleen and her team to anyone looking to pick up a few or more moves!

Came here to learn a first dance for my wedding and left learning not only that but so much more! Aaron was a great and patient teacher that really brought style and comfort to our lessons. He was great with giving us tips and even answering any questions we had. Our wedding received rave reviews and Aaron taught us some other dance styles for us to take over the dance floor. We will have fond memories and dance skills to use today and for the future. I would highly recommend the studio and any of the instructors for anyone interested!

My wife and I took lessons in preparation for our wedding, and it was amazing! We learned so much about many of the foundations of dancing together, so that it wasn't a memorized set of moves, but rather a collection of skills that we had developed and could put to use however we saw fit. We recommend to anyone interested in both foundational dance lessons, and also advanced!

Concierge Ballroom is the best! Colleen and Thomas are excellent teachers and the facility is beautiful. I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in the wide array of dance styles they provide.

Five stars! We love Concierge Ballroom! My (now) husband and I took 10 lessons with Tomas ahead of our wedding because we wanted to wow our guests with our first dance. Not only did we accomplish this goal, but we also learned the hustle:) I’ll never forget the sound of our friends and family cheering when we nailed our first dip! Tomas was so fun and easy to work with - he is a very talented dancer but also an amazing teacher and was willing and able explain things in different ways so we could both understand. Colleen and the entire staff at Concierge Ballroom are amazing! Not only did they thoughtfully work to continue dance lessons through a pandemic in a safe and effective way, but they have created a community of dancers despite a time of isolation. Their teaching approach is tailored to the individual and focuses on meeting you at your skill level. In the year that I have been dancing, I have really refined and grown in my skills.
