Cracker Barrel Old Country Store reviews
20The food was exceptionally good the last time we were there which was saturdy February 27th and the waitress although fairly new was extremely pleasant and very kind and helpful. Look forward to soon stopping in again
Probably one of the worst meal I have had in a long time. Ordered chicken and dumplings mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Dumplings were cold Mac and cheese was dry and the mashed potatoes were like a mix between baked potatoes and mashed potatoes. No manager came to my table after I told the waitress how bad it was.
Never unhappy with a Cracker Barrel! Went on a Saturday night, so we had a bit of a wait considering reduced capacity for covid. The place was very clean and homey and inviting. Once seated, we were promptly greeted and gotten drinks. The only negative thing I have to say about my experience was that the waiter was a little pushy. He asked if we were ready to order our food before even opening the menu. He said he'd give us a minute and came back about 30 seconds later asking if we were ready again. Later, immediately after placing our food on the table, he gave us the check. Before a single bite of food went into our mouth. Otherwise, the food was delicious and atmosphere was pleasant. I got the spicy grilled catfish. It was cooked to perfection and had a delectable seasoning. Add a lemon, and it was the perfect fish dish. The turnip greens were amazing, not bitter at all. The ham strung throughout gave a great saltiness. The hashbrown casserole was the best I've ever had. I will say that there was a large amount of onions, so to avoid this side of you're not a fan of onions. My boyfriend got the special, fried pork. Wow. I'm not a fan of fried and breaded foods, but this was great. It wasn't all greasy like a traditional fried meat. The pork was cooked to perfection, and the breading was seasoned in a way that tasted deliciously homemade. He got the broccoli and dumplings for his sides. The dumplings were how you would imagine any dumplings, but the sauce is what makes it unique and worth the money. The price of the overall meal, 2 entrees with 2 sides each and free biscuits and cornbread, was only $23. You would pay so much more at many other restaurants. I highly recommend cracker barrel!
I love the atmosphere of this place. Their food is always delicious and their service is always prompt and courteous.
There's a reason why this place is always busy. It's just simple and good. Real ingredients cooked well.
Waitress was moving as fast as she could. I don't know if there was a staff shortage or not, but when you dine out and pay for that little luxury, you hope for "hot" food and not just tepid. Also, I know that being in kitchen has to be hot but masks should be over nose and mouth or supply them with a face shield.
Renews my faith in Cracker Barrel! Tia was a great server. The food was hot and fresh. My drink stayed filled. There were good sales in the gift shop. We travel a lot and the closest CB to us us is 45 minutes in 3 directions. Those 3 keep letting us down but this location is a new favorite and will be revisited in our travels!
Food was excellent. Service was friendly. Meals are affordable. Love the Country Store. Perfect combination.
Food is terrible. Got a cold meal the first time. The hamburgers aren't bad, but really bland. The third meal I got was meatloaf, and it was mushy.
Ahh. Cracker barrel is the best. The maple bacon chicken complete w fried apples and sweet potato casserole ooh n a good ole sweet tea to wash it all down. Definitely put them in your dinner schedule.
Great place great food I really don't like having the dining wait area in the same place as the little store it gets to congested and crowdy people trying to get in trying to get out trying to shop trying to eat that's the only thing I have to complain about
Our server, Sarah was amazing! The chicken pot pie, not so much. Very disappointed that it's made with only a top crust and not a bottom as well. And the filling wasn't very filling. I strongly think you guys should revamp it completely.
The coffee and salad was great tho
Was not busy so service was very good.
At the time there 4 tables. My food was very good however it was not up to temperature.
Great service. Answered questions about the menu quickly. Food was good. Long wait for a table, but that is understandable because of limited capacity.
The service was great. Food was good and the general store had a couple of little funny sayings that I purchased.
I ordered the fried chicken and it tasted like day old Weis chicken! The macaroni and cheese was too runny! My friend ordered catfish but they gave her cod. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the greens were good. Won't be going back there everrrrr!
This was my wife's 1st. Cracker Barrel experience, I had the southern fried chicken and my wife had the chicken pot pie, both were good as well as the sides of Cole slaw. Happy wife happy life lol
My first time going here was amazing! Everything was delightful! The staff, food, and service was top notch.
The service was excellent.
The food was very good.
Got really busy till we finished.
Will order to go next time.
The food is always decent and the portions are adequate. Sometimes you go places and they give too much food. This does not seem to be the case. But it is good
