We love critter care! We have 7 cats and 4 rabbits that have all recieved exemplary care from the team at critter care. The doctors and techs are a pleasure to work with and their passion for caring for animals is evident. The office staff is friendly and helpful in all aspects. This veterinary office is THE BEST!

Solid care. Great vets, techs, and reliability. Highly recommended! And they take exotic pets like guinea pigs instead of simply dogs/cats. Also affordable which is important.

My dog Shawn started coming here for a suspicious mass on his lower back and spine. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was kind compassionate and loving. They care for the family as much as the pet, which is rare these days and brought such peace and calm to my heart. Shawn is a large and very strong boy, and they love on him and care for him with ease, as though he is a teeny pup! His surgery was stressful for me and the communication regarding his treatment was clear and concise. They shared the same joy in celebrating good news as I did. I can not speak highly enough about the staff and doctors here. They have a new patient (and fan!) for life!

Staff is great with you and your pet they also make sure all your concerns are solved and answer.

My experience at Critter Care is always wonderful. The staff is extremely caring and friendly. I have been with Critter Care since they opened some 30 years ago. I have never had a negative experience. I highly recommend Critter Care.

The vet and all the assisting staff are simply magical! I love the place and they truly care for our pets like their very own.

Dr Lori and staff and wonderful people Dr Lori have gone above and beyond for our puppy when she had a horiific accident. Everyone on staff there are kind people and I trust them with all 4 of my fur babies.

Love this place. Everyone is great! I have 2 dogs, 10 and 15 y/o, and changed vets. SO HAPPY I did. Through exam, excellent with the dogs, solved an issue Coco had for 2 or 3 years in 5 minutes. Other vet ignored.

My girlfriend used to work there some of the people she worked with, we’re not kind to her. She went to vet school and worked at multiple other vets. And they started her out at 12 bucks an hour. There was multiple times she was told to go home early.

The staff was kind and courteous. We loved our Vet, she sat on the ground with our Daisy and made her feel comfortable. Thank you to everyone at Critter Care! Gina

Staff are nice but they suggest things that aren't needed. Had my dogs dew claws removed from their suggestion and regret it.

I’ve been a client of Critter Care for 20 years now. They provide excellent care to my kitties & the staff is like family to me. I would rate them 1000 stars if I could.

STAY AWAY.

I’m happy for those that have received good care from Critter Care but I unfortunately experienced the worst. Underneath the friendly demeanor is incompetence, poor follow up and lack of updated medical information.

My dog has been suffering for 2 years from Lyme disease that was allowed to rapidly spread so badly that he almost died from it. That is because when I brought him in to get tested they said it was only arthritis and gave me pain pills. It only masked the pain and it grew. I didn’t believe the diagnosis and so I took him back for another test and instead of it being inconclusive, it was positive and he was dying from the lack of appropriate care. I understand it doesn’t show up right away but knowing the symptoms of Lyme disease as it attacks your joints and your client is telling you one day he’s walking and the next he refuses to move, what is 1 course of antibiotics worth to be safe? Doctors are trained to give the treatment that has better results than the sickness their are aiming from. Side effects from a course of antibiotics os better than dying from Lyme disease. Now he is own expensive kidney medication for the rest of this life and on his 3rd course of treatment for Lyme because it was allowed to ransack his body. Now he’s not eating and is suffering, again.

I was never told by that office that a Lyme disease vaccine was available until a year and a half later.

I’m pulling them from my pets’ care. If your pet just needs a black and white treatment, they can handle it. It they need real care, I would pass for their sake.

I have been taking a variety of animals to Critter Care Veterinary hospital for over 15 years. Dr. Portugal is my go to person when I have a question about one of my animals or I have a sick animal. It is so nice to have a vet that really cares about your animals as well as caring about you. I have had pets over the years that have come down with serious illnesses. I am very happy to say that they lived to a ripe old age with the help of Dr P. It is so rewarding to have a person that tells you the truth about everything and not having you have unnecessary tests and procedures done. My animals are very important to me and I am taking them to the best vet I know.

Love Dr. Portugal and Dr. Schroder and the whole staff at critter care! They take such good care of my babies - above and beyond!

Critter Care provides exceptional service to pets and nervous pet parents. Dr. Portugal and her staff go above and beyond to ensure that your pet is cared for in a compassionate, thorough manner. I would not trust my pet's care to anyone else!

This past weekend, my wife and I had the heartbreaking duty of saying goodbye to our family pet "Cooney".
The staff at Critter Care made this very emotional process bearable under these unfortunate circumstances. Professional, Caring, everything one would hope for during this unpleasant time in our hearts.

I had the unfortunate event of having to put down my pet due to severe CHF. She started to foam at the nose at 7 pm. I called this vet (not my typical vet and had never seen my dog before), and they went above and beyond to make this challenging time more comforting. Even let us take all the time we needed (past closing times). They also have great prices and packages for cremation. They made this hard time way more manageable, and I am so appreciate of them!
