Critter Country Animal Farm reviews
17 Horrific place for any animal to be.tragic how these places exist under the radar.thanks to good samaritans for making “The Conservation Game” documentary
Also, this is not a ZOO or accredited as a zoo, but someone’s backyard with no regulations or welfare enforced for the animals.endangered species!
Animals are very well taken care of! It'll cost a bit extra to feed the animals but it's definitely worth it. A good variety of animals and informational signs about most of them. The Emus and Ostrich will steal your food if you put your bowl out, be warned!
If you like animals, I would totally recommend!
Just missed our 6 year old getting spit on by a Llama, glad we warned to stay back. When deer approached it got jealous and it actually was intended for the deer but narrowly missed her. Then the white tiger turned his backend to the fencing and sprayed from his backend and came within 6" of hitting her. Crazy afternoon, never know what you're going to experience when animals are involved. Kids enjoyed the calves the most as they were willing to be touched.
I love it. We go at least once a year and take someone new. You're so interactive with the animals. It's fun being followed by chickens and roosters and turkeys and peacocks etc etc. We always purchase food to feed the animals. It's so fun!
Seemed to be a little run down, pens in the carnivore area were overgrown and didn’t seem well maintained. The animals we did feed seemed extremely eager to get food (almost food aggressive) so we hope they are getting enough food daily - you could see the individual ribs on the camels. It was a pretty humid / hot day during our visit and didn’t see any staff around checking on food or water levels - only staff we saw were at the front desk. Definitely looks a lot better on their webpage, unfortunately. The kids enjoyed themselves however - a good variety of animals that you could get very close to.
Horrible living conditions. Please do NOT come here and report these people. It is a run down, family ran backyard. Tigers are kept in small cages. Animals are clearly overheated. Goats get their heads stuck in the wire. We even reported the goat being stuck and the employees blew us off. It wasn't until the second time that we witnessed a bison ramming the poor goat that we had to force them to help the goat. Disgusting place. Please take my word for it, or your experience, and report these people. They are not qualified to run this.
A very great place, that had a great variety of animals.
And you could feed most of them, the ones you can’t are Carnivores A Very entertainment place recommend it
It’s was a shame we drove over there on Saturday because it said it was open and they were actually closed for a wedding then we just drove out there again so my grandkids could have something to do and they don’t answer the phone and the card machine wasn’t working. Cash only. The girls at the tent said sorry and we didn’t hear the phone. A little rude.
Please watch “The Conservation Game” to understand how animals are treated. Big cats are kept in 15 boot cages at this place, much like prison for humans. If you want to text your children to be terrible people you should totally bring them to this place. Plus the owner is really ugly. The female one.
Fun place to visit and pet the animals. The animals are very well taken care of.great price, great way to spend a few hours.owners are great and friendly.willing to answer your questions.a must visit.
Animals are really well taken care of and very friendly. The whole family had a great time.
Went there this past weekend and thought this place was a fantastic hidden gem. I would recommend a visit here for sure. The animals were all pretty active and happy looking. Properly priced and recommend buying extra feed of your choice. Everyone with us had a great time and would come back again for sure.
Only thing I would recommend is to have a proper rest room/sanitary station in the front/exit with the temp hand cleaning stations moved to other corners for maximum coverage with touching numerous animals/items.
Animals ate all the feed and carrots. Since the kids were back in school the littles were able to enjoy all tje animals. This was very exciting.
Most depressing glorified petting zoo.no real restroom, it was a portapotty that had never been serviced. The animals all look sad and some in small areas. I walked around for about 10 minutes and had to leave broke my heart.
Nice & open.have a nice variety animals. Miss watching the bears play with tubes for carrots.
Wow! Critter country was so much fun for a small zoo. My You can buy carrots and grain to feed the animals. Kids love it. And makes a fantastic place to take your grandkids.
My wife and daughter went today. It's been 9 years since last visit. Also brought her niece and her kids (9 & 2 that are 4).
AWESOME EXPERIENCE! The faces on the 4yr olds was priceless.
Praises to the owners and staff for this gem!
