Crozer-Chester Medical Center - Emergency Department

I've been sitting in the waiting area for over 6 hours with horrible stomach pains. Everyone who was here when I first arrived is now gone and now the people that came after me are all being seen. My pain has been constant since arriving. I just need to see a doctor. I am just curious as to what is the pecking order here? How does it work? As long as there is someone else in greater need walking in I never get seen? Why is my emergency treated less than?

About 4 years ago I came here in pain and was unsure of how or what was causing it and was turned away because the nurse said that I was "drug seeking" 2 weeks later I was rushed back into the ER here with the same symptoms but the second time the doctor ran more test and realized that I needed EMERGENCY SURGERY to have my gallbladder removed!

I was so happy to be out of the pain that I didn't even think to seek counsel for being mistreated and handled by Crozier's emergency room staff.

This facility has poor bedside manners. The State needs to step in and make some major changes!

They took wonderful care of my low verbal son. The one on one people were so helpful. The medication doctor listened to me and really helped my son.

0 stars actually. Last time I went with a heart rate of 150, in a lot of pain and trouble breathing. It took 16 hours in the waiting room before I was seen! A lady was wheeled out to the waiting room from an ambulance while actively having a stroke and coded in the wheelchair! The Doctor kept coming out apologizing saying I should have been taken back immediately with my vitals but nope, 14 hours before a nurse finally took me back to rapid assessment and let me lay in the chair. Turns out my blood clot screen was positive! Another time I had a kidney stone, and even though I was taken back immediately, the nurses talking outside the door said I was faking. Doctor had them apologize after admitting me for kidney stone surgery. Just went back over the weekend for the same symptoms with my irregular heart beat and fainting, and got told it was anxiety by triage even though I see specialists for a heart condition. Was also never seen after waiting 6 hours, and everyone there before me had left bc they had waited 8-10 hours without being seen! Also it was dirty! Snot tissues everywhere, dirty chairs, food laying around, trash, spills, and blood on the chair handles! Masks just thrown on the floor. Do not come here! Ever! You will die or get sicker!

With only 6 people in the waiting room, 5 people left out from the back. Why aren’t 5 of 6 being called to the back? The wait time here is unbelievable. There is no reason why people come to seek medical attention and have to wait hours before even being called to triage.

Positive experience with the staff (besides the IV insertion.) & no wait time. I did get the last bed though & I went in pretty early in the morning. So my experience is likely not the norm.
Ended up having a bacterial infection. Was there for 2 hours. Blood work, urinalysis, 2 bags of fluids. Got a $10k bill for that.just unbelievable honestly. I've been to the ER many times & have never come out with a bill like this.

Got in early on a Friday, was taken right in. Everyone super friendly, and let you know what was going on. I was there 11 hours but I went through everything from CT scan, ultrasound, more evaluation, and surgery.

Beside waiting for hours with chest pain, the nurse that took my vitals was very nasty. I waited
4 1/2 hours and never saw the doctor. Will never go to this er again.

If I could give it a Lower start I would it’s ridiculous that I took my aunt from an urgent care @1pm to the crozer ER and she still has not been seen almost 8hr later. I can’t believe this hospital is allowed to operate like this imagine if she were critical she could have died or caused a lot more injury than good.
