Cumberland Golf Club, Carlisle PA

Probably the worst course I have ever played in the county not to mention the poor service at the bar/restaurant if that’s what you want to call it. Very disappointed as were my two guests!

So much potential if just a little was invested in some areas. Great course for learners, fairly open, and price is right. Would be spectacular if a few things were addressed.
Will still come back as plusses outnumber minuses!

By far worst managed course I've ever played at. In terms of the course itself, it was okay, greens were a little inconsistent and the rough was too high at times, tee boxes also weren't well taken care of either, but that's not the issue. Me and my group were spoken to 3 times about driving on the green even though we never did, and multiple golfers yelled at us and gave us attitude for doing absolutely nothing. Probably the biggest problem with this course and sport in general is its full of grumpy old men who are hesitant to accept and let the younger, inexperienced golfers enjoy the game like they do. No sport or game should ever be gatekept for ridiculous reasons. I'm never coming back here, and I'm telling everyone that I know to never come here either. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

I wish I could rate 0 stars by far the worst course i’ve ever been to. Horribly managed, my group was yelled at 3 times for driving on the green, which we never did once. Then we were followed by some angry golfer who got into a screaming fight and reported us to the owner, and we literally did NOTHING. This is also the most confusing layout of a golf course i have EVER seen, and the signs to show what hole you’re on are hard to find and overgrown. This course is full of senile old men who hate to see anybody under 65 have fun. I would literally rather drive to New York and hit a golf ball at the side of a skyscraper than touch this course ever again.

Lovely golf course. Very reasonably priced (price includes buggy which is great). Went twice during my trip to PA, both times at around 2/3pm which I would definitely recommned. Was very quiet and was never waiting too long or rushing. Overall nice experience.

Tee boxes and fairways were in pretty bad condition.

Staff were very friendly.

The course is in excellent condition, the greens are great, friendly persons in club house!

Very poorly maintained course. Reasonable priced. The restroom out on course were locked. Plenty of woods fortunately.

Nice golf course. They certainly could give the course a little attention. Yardage markers could be upgraded. They were hard to find on sprinkler heads on the fairways. Some cheap red, white, and blue plastic stakes are quite inexpensive.

Not sure how functional the bar is inside due to Covid. Reasonably priced.

The tee boxes are currently in terrible shape. Definitely in need of a sprinkler system to keep the tee boxes green. Too many had little to no grass on them and that is frustrating.

Generally, it's in good shape and a decent price, tee boxes are usually rough.this particular day hitting off the boxes was like hitting from the first cut.fairways were long too, could have been the rain recently, but tbh, this was the worst shape Ive seen it.greens are alright tho.bartenders are always friendly.bring cash for the range or pay a surcharge at the atm to get a 5 dollar sh*t bucket of balls

Course was in great shape. Greens weren't as fast as usual but they got faster as the day progressed

Enjoyed the round with a couple buddies. Course was in good shape and the bunkers were well kept. Will play again.

So sad to see this course in such bad shape. This could be one of the best in the area but is in the worse shape ever. The owners need to take care of the course. It’s a shame.

Nice track. Middle of the road course. I've seen worse as far as conditions and have seen better. It's a good time regardless.

Long a challenging course. Some of the longer par 5's and 4's in the area. All par 3's are over 200 yards. Fairways were in good shape as were tee boxes. Greens were amazing with alot of curves!

Wasn't unplayable. But fairways are burnt out and patchy. Greens are ok. Tee boxes were pretty rough. Pace of play was awful. I will not be back until I hear better things from someone else playing it.
Update 7-6-21**
It's been a couple years since playing this course. They have definitely fixed there maintenance issues. Pace of play was perfect. The course was is in really good shape. You can really spray it around this course and still get onto the greens. It's a fairly long course, especially the par 3s. I will be back for a once a year visit.

Greens well maintained. Fairways well maintained. Tee boxes well maintained. Enjoyable day. Well priced. Well done!

This is a fun course to play. It is not very difficult.

There are wide fairways, they keep the rough trimmed, and the greens are fair, and always in good shape.

Their carts are fast, and have rain protection built on to protect your clubs.

If you need any pro shop stuff, you are out of luck. However, You can get balls, tees, hats, and cigars.

They do have a cantina/bar for a few cold ones after your round.

Nice course overall. The greens are probably the flattest I've played in the area so 15-20 footers are easy 1 putts all day long. Snack bar didn't offer much. Good variety of holes. Fairway grass was longer than most courses but it has rained non stop this month so I'll chalk it up to that. Good pace of play. Pretty good value overall.
