Dairy Cottage, Springfield PA

First time at Dairy Cottage last week and we ordered cheesesteaks for takeout. I didn’t know what to expect because when i would drive by the restaurant, I always assumed it was more of a diner vibe. It still kind of is when you walk in, but they also have a big takeout counter with more of a pizza place vibe. The cheesesteaks were amazing! The roll was so soft and a perfect amount of meat to cheese ratio. The staff was very friendly and I appreciated ahead of time that they told us they were busy and pick up times were longer. When I arrived at the time they asked me, my food was ready! Can’t wait to return and try the pizza and other menu items.

Food was delicious. We were a party of three. We had hot roast beef sandwiches and BLTs - everything was delicious! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere nothing special, old but clean.

So glad this place is still open. When there when I was in high school and loved it. Went there for my birthday dinner the other night and still love it.

Food was good however I spent over 70 dollars for 3 people sodas were 4 dollars each and when my daughter asked for a refill they said no we don't do refills. First time I ever heard of a place that doesn't give free refills well thats fine so saving 4 dollars costs your business 75 because I won't be going back.

Food is great, staff is great, but I think they're pinching the pennies a little bit too hard. No free refills on the soda and the bags of chips they give you with your sandwich are a half an ounce which is so small it's barely even a single mouthful.

Love this place- it feels so retro but clean and the food is great! Turkey club is fresh carved turkey with crispy bacon, yum! Cheese steaks and chicken cheese steak wraps are delicious too. Hot fudge sundaes and milkshakes are so good! Everything is really good, except they have coated fries- wish they were plain crinkle cut and it’d be perfect!

Staff was friendly, and food was delicious! The cheesesteak sandwiches are so filling, you may have to make it into 2 meals!

This place is awesome! The food is so good, and that is consistent. The prices are very fair, and the staff is so down to earth and friendly. I drive from Exton to Springfield for the food, and it's worth it! Cheesesteaks are full and delicious, the pizza is excellent, sandwiches excellent, and you must have dessert! I have tried several different things, but the black and white milkshake I had today is my new favorite. I really love this place, and definitely recommend it! 5 stars in my book!

The last two times I've ordered from here the order has been completely wrong. Just ordered a turkey club wrap with no tomatoes. Just opened it and it has tomatoes and inexplicably banana peppers. I'm too hungry not to be annoyed after twice in a row. I called to re-order but after a brief exchange I was hung up on. The young lady was very annoyed to do any than take a new order.

Great service! It is a small place so depending on what time you go. You may have a wait. Its worth the wait, imo. We go for breakfast modt of the time and it's always delicious!

Love this place. Very cute. It's like a mom and pop diner with some history behind it. They were a little short staffed but our waitress was incredibly sweet. We ordered cheesesteak egg rolls which were decent and a burger/buffalo chicken wrap. You could have the chicken grilled, fried, or cheesteak style. Both were delicious. Highly recommend!

Waitress was very friendly and funny! Sister in law and I both ordered the large Stromboli Special, thinking we would eat half and take the other half home! IT WAS HUGE! We could only eat a 1/4th of it. (We were a little puzzled when one of the waitresses set up 2 serving stands next to our table before our food came out and now we know why, lol!) My husband will enjoy half and I'll have the other 1/4 piece for lunch tomorrow. Next time we'll no better to only order one large to spilt or 2 medium, either way, we'll be taking some to go. First time here and enjoyed it very much. But make sure you bring a sweater or light jacket, they like it cooool in there! I don't mind it, but my sister in law is a very skinny petite thing and she was freezing, thankfully I keep a sweater in the car!

Dairy Cottage has the best breakfast with the best servers in Delaware County. Our waitress Lisa goes above and beyond for her customers to make them feel welcome at home. She definitely takes time to get to know her customers and their preferences. We highly recommend breakfast at Dairy Cottage!

What happened to this place? There is one waitress who is an absolutely miserable human being. We have had the absolute joy of dealing with this waitress two different times. This last time, we left because she refused to clean off a table that was full of crumbs from the last patrons. My family of five has eaten here well over 50 times in the past few years, but we will not be coming back because of this woman's terrible attitude towards customers.

The lady in the front that was answering the phone needs better customer service. You dont ask a customer that walks in, what do u want?
I noticed a more pleasant welcome when white folks came in.
Pizza was pretty good though.

The dairy cottage is like a quaint diner. They did not have a problem making seating for 10 people on a Sunday afternoon, but the seating is less than a typical diner. I liked their creative choices. The large stromboli fed four of my grandaughters and their parents.
