Dalessandro's Steaks reviews
14Cheesesteaks we had were yummy. Just needed salt, lacked some flavor and maybe mix the onions with the steak, not just on top. Overall service was great and can’t wait to go back!
2nd best cheesesteak in all of Philly. That Jawn slapped… provolone/mayo/whizzy and I’m in heaven.
Cheesesteak sandwiches were prepared for travel. Had one, shared with my husband, and it was delicious.
I thought it was actually like a three-star in terms of flavor but I give it an extra star because since it was ribeye it was so tender, they use absolutely zero seasoning even on the onions
Good, not great cheesesteak. Meat was, unfortunately, bland. Cash only and pretty quick even with a line.
Don't get me wrong, the steak meat is amazing and delicious yet their bread is cold and soggy. It's like having a pizza with delicious sauce/cheese yet horrible crust. I've been there 4 times and drove 1 hour to get there each time. Evertime I had similar experiences about the soggy bun.asked them if they can toast the bread for me and even offered them extra cash, they refused to toast the bread on the grill/oven. AND no I didn't take the steak home rather ate it at their outside bench. And no it doesn't look as good as you can see on pics.it looks messy. They won't even serve you fresh jalapeños. They use those jars commercials soggy jalapeños.
Meat is 8/10
Buns 3/10
Can you eat a pizza with amazing sauce yet horrible crust? If yes, then go there. If no, then you know what to do.
Food was great.it is walk up (no customers inside) and it felt a little like I was going to the soup natzi. I say this jokingly as the staff were not mean lol, it just felt like you had to know how to order a certain way, step aside, don't stand certain places, wait till you are called, cash only, goodbye. You also have to yell back and forth as it is loud inside and you talk through a window. My husband was a little overwhelmed and didn't order the right thing that he wanted, but it was still delicious. This is located in a pretty busy area and You probably won't get a parking spot in front. There's a little gravel lot around the corner as well as a residential side street that had parking. We came from 6 hours away passing through and if we came through again we would definitely stop again knowing what we do now. If you aren't a local, study the menu before you go and ask questions. It's delish!
Here at 9: 15 on a Wednesday. Closed. Hours on the window say theyre open till 10pm mon-thurs
My first visit and I enjoyed the service and the food. The employees were very nice, polite.
Came all the way from Jersey to find they were closed for a month of vacation. Maybe update your hours online so people don’t waste their time. Thankfully Chubby’s is across the street - go with them, their steaks are better anyways.
The steaks are great and portions are generous. If you don't live close, eat it there. Mine were a little mushy by the time I drove 20 minutes home.
Tourist attraction. People in the city know you can get a good steak almost anywhere in Philly even from papi store
One of the three best places in Philadelphia to grab a cheesesteak! To be fair and honest, the quality of the food and the quality of their service took a dip for the first year or two of the pandemic, which, given the circumstances, can be forgiven. In the past almost two years they've gone back to offering one of the best sandwiches in the city and worked hard to make their process more efficient while maintaining quality. I do wish they added a few more seats outside, but given their lack of real estate I can understand the limited seating. I do wish they would include parking suggestions/instructions as well as verbally discourage folks from block traffic on Henry Avenue but besides that, this is a must stop place on your Philadelphia food tour!
Dalessandro's is one of my go-to's for cheese steaks. They are very experienced in the construction and the flavor is good. Wish they were on gold belly
