Syrian Restaurant Damascus reviews
16First time to try Syrian food and it’s good experience. The in-house yogurt spread and cheese are outstanding. The beef kabob is good but the lamb is better.
A hidden gem in center city must have for people that want to taste really authentic Middle Eastern flare food very friendly very affordable
Great local spot and Friendly service! Prices are a bit high, but otherwise no complaints.
Super food. Order things to share so you can taste a variety of dishes. This restaurant is small, gets crowded and a bit loud, but that just adds to the atmosphere. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful explaining the different foods if you, like us, are not all that familiar with Lebanese, Syrian, middle Eastern, Mediterranean foods. Definitely going back!
I love this place, food is always fresh, the staff is friendly. Is one of the best hummus I’ved tried. Kibbeh are amazing. And the chicken kabob are to die for.
We were passing through Allentown and were surprised to find a highly rated Syrian restaurant. Look for the address as the restaurant sign was hard to find. Parking is neighborhood parking. The food was excellent. We had the lamb kabob and humus, which were excellent. The service was friendly, the portions large, and the price reasonable. The place is a bit small, so come early if possible.
Outstanding food.been going for years.taken many guests, & not one disappointed- always raved! Why?
Great, original home-made food, with absolutely number-one first class service. They bend over backwards to be helpful.
I have now been to Damascus about half-dozen times. There is no shortage of good Mid-East cuisine in the Allentown area - Aci Halal just down 2nd Street a few blocks from Damascus, Aladdin going east on Tilghman Street and Sahara in Wescoesville to name a few. It's an embarrassment of riches, each with its own specialties, each with its own personality. They also mirror to some extent their own geographic origins, be it Syria, Lebanon, Turkey or elsewhere on the Fertile Crescent.
We ordered falafel and chicken kabob platter. It was really delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. We highly recommend this place for Syrian food.
Always a remarkable meal. Freshly made for you. Advised to be super hunger!
One super preferable place for our family gathering! Excellent service
Drove an hour to eat here for son’s 18th birthday. Showed up at 6: 30 and was told they were closed. Even though the sign said they were open. Jerks.
I visited this restaurant for the 1st time while traveling in the area and was pleasantly surprised as everyone was very friendly and the service was above my expectations. The food was definitely delicious and salad was fresh. If you are looking for a creative option to add to the mix, this one will not disappoint! I tried a shrimp dish, which was grilled to perfection (not rubbery at all). Pita bread was a great filler as well. I plan to visit again when I am in the area. Parking may be a little bit of a challenge otherwise I loved this place.
The food here is DELICIOUS! Highly recommend. It was as good as food we've had while traveling in the middle east. The staff are wonderful. Everyone was so kind and made us feel like family, especially our waitress Sabrina. We will definitely be coming back!
Service was exceptionable! Friendly and warm, Sabrina helps us all the time understanding the menu. Everything we order rates a 10! Every time we go, each food item is the most delicious!
We came here few months ago, since then I was keep thinking about this place, Garlic chips and hummus, cauliflower over rice, finally came back and it was sooo worth coming back, everyone is so friendly, Sabrina made visit so comfortable, like you are at home, food is great quality, Highly recommend this place.
Bland and overpriced food. It used to be reasonably priced and of decent quality it seems that over the pandemic prices skyrocketed. But the worst part was the service. Incredibly rude. Appearing at the table every 2 minutes asking if we need boxes. Taking away silver wear and bringing boxes to pack the food. Hinting passive aggressively that it's time to take off. Maybe not going back next time.
