Restaurant Damon's Grill reviews
19Had their fried butterfly shimp dinner. Delicious shrimp, good fries, didnt care for the cole slaw. Service was quick, courteous and friendly. Price was average, atmosphere and decor is that of a sports bar/dining room.
Prime rib is excellent, baked potato was cold and was given margarine, not butter, salad was bland, 3 ingredients- lettuce, tomatoes, cheap shredded cheese. Wait time 4 food was long.
We are regulars there but the prices have become ridiculous and the food was skimpy. We waited 40 minutes for sandwiches and it wasn't even busy.
Either they want everyone to get drunk or you have to just guess what non-alcoholic beverages they have because they don't list any on the menu. But they do have an extensive alcohol menu. Food was barely edible up to the point halfway through the plate that I had to go to the bathroom to vomit. I just left my boyfriend to pay the tab while I'm out in the parking lot trying not to throw up again.
Best chicken quesadilla ever and great Cobb salad. Order taker on phone was brand new, he'll get better. I was afraid this was going to be typical greasy bar food, but both dishes were great.
I was in the area and excited to find a place like this. I ordered the beast burger. Wait time was atrocious from ordering to getting our food (close to a hour). My burger while cooked properly was left under the heat lamp for way longer than it should’ve been and developed a inedible skin all around it. When I mentioned this, the manager came out and immediately became defensive and condescending. To assume that someone has never eaten a burger that had different meats of this caliber and type was his first mistake. But to not own up to the problem and offer a solution was the other. He doubled down that he “sells 50 a day and no one complains. ” Well, maybe those people didn’t wait 50 mins for a medium burger and a medium steak.
I miss this chain being all over the east coast. Glad this one still exists. Any time I am in the area, I stop. The ribs offer the same taste as I experienced closed to 25 years ago at any and all locations. The wings too. Again, glad this one is still around. I always feel very welcome there.
Had 2 different mixed drinks and the Damon's app and extra 8 wings. Waitress was nice. Wings where crunchy and saucy (spicy honey one's where my favorite). Mozzarella sticks where average. Fries are made of real potatoes and definitely need salt But we're good.
I missed what caused it but the bartender was not in a good mood. They were muttering threats/insults under their breath. Received little to no service. It was a very strange experience. Reading through the reviews it appears bad behavior from employees is the norm. Beware.
Fantastic, Delicious, service was phenomenal under the current circumstances (COVID). My burger had 5 different Top Quality Meats in it. Keep up the good work
Service was great I had the 8ounce steak, fully loaded bake potato and onions straws everything was amazing. Plus their drink selection and special's was worth the visit.
Don’t come here if you have any OCD or anxiety. They could care less and don’t even care to do a simple task such as make a straw exception to make things a little easier
Great ribs! Get the full rack! Could have done with a bit more salad in my salad and the strawberry lemonade was definitely tasting unhealthy (bad water? Unclean container? Mildew?), but the meat was great and the service was friendly and attentive. The place had a wait on a Friday night and there were families there, so it's about what you expect which is certainly the appeal to any of these casual chain restaurants.
Food, at least the baby back ribs, by far the BEST in the Hazleton area. Fall off the bone, easy to chew, yummmfully yummzzz! Service is okay. I understand most restaurants in the country are struggling due to labor issues, especially seeing Damon's struggle to get labor too so the stress I'm sure is there. I can see it, and the attitude our server gave me because I forgot to mention one thing. I still provided an above 10% tip too cause I understand its a rough time, I let it slide.
I ordered their ribs a lot in take out as well.both great but if you can eat-in, its way better because its far fresher, it tasted better than the take out they offered for them.
Solid restaurant. Friendly service and decent prices. Nothing fancy. We enjoyed our meal. It wasn't one of those wow experiences but certainly our food was hot and as ordered and it was served with a smile.
Great quick service, food was ready within twenty minutes of ordering. I’ve eaten here a few times for lunch and dinner, reasonable food for the price!
The wait staff was out of this world. At no time did I feel like I was not the only table in the place. My hats off to all of the staff there
Terrible experience. Initially was told 30 minute wait to be seated. After 45 minutes, was told that they need to split our party into two tables. Completely unacceptable. All they had to do was tell us in the beginning that they didn't have space for our party.
Never order a Bloody Mary. We love our bloodies and these are the worst I have ever had. When telling management they said "too bad, so sad", wouldn't take back and decided to charge us for them. Horrible!
