Mary Davis you are nice.my only suggestion to you though is take more time and listen carefully to your clients, you might find something you missed in rendering a final Dx.we don't come to you to because we don't have anything else to do with our lives, we come to you to get help with our mental health issues, we put OUR confidence in YOU for thoroughly investigated mental health issues that a regular PCP cannot help with because it is beyond their scope of practice or its something that many physicians don't specialize in or what have you. YOU are the psychiatric professional and specialist and if WE get referred to you its for a major concern with mental health issues that need your expertise to give a definitive analysis and start appropriate treatments, not to keep you company.here is a little medical professional code of ethics reminder
1) FIRST DO NO HARM
2) Keep keep listening skills in the present mindfully, instead of if you left your dining room light on or not before you come to work.
3) BEDSIDE MANNERS, BEDSIDE MANNERS
4) make sure you are treating your patients with the same time and closeness you would with a newborn baby.if you are unable to do these simple humble things in your interactions with patients then you need to step back and reevaluate whether psychiatry is what you should be practicing.

You have no idea.words can not express my gratitude. Mary Davis is a role model for what exactly all Doctors of all fields should take training from. Simply put. Regardless of your field, because being a dr means bedside manner and listening to your patients.not rushing them out the door regardless of the topic.

Dr. Davis and Janet Brown are excellent. I have been their patient for almost three years and they both have listened and treated me with expert care and understanding.

I called for an appointment. They would not see me. I tried insisting but then they hee hawed around about insurance. What a damn joke for people who actually need help
