I had no clue they were right down the street from me! Glad I found this spot. Nothing but good to say about them! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Store is spotless! Everything they make is amazing. They do beautifully on their cakes. Cakes are moist and full of flavor. I had to try their sticky buns and donuts. They did not disappoint. Definitely recommended to everyone I know.

OMG! Those goodies have you thinking a lot on what to get. It's like a candy store with all kinds of flavors to pick from. Not easy to do when everything is so good looking. Anyway do go and enjoy Denise's delicacies they are so delicious and freshly made. Yummys for your tummy!

Watched as the person who was supposed to be writing on my cake have an elongated conversation in the back. Still waiting for my cake to be written on and waited in line about half an hour.

I use to patronage Denise's faithfully your hours open at 9 standing out in the cold (only our kind ghetto). No longer accept EBT, and your cake products aren't the same were do you think you at? I move on and won't look back.plus I make my own pound cake it's delicious and I keep a few dollars in my pocket. Yall need to check out The Philly Cake Lady & Shop rite you will not be disappointed.peace

The pastries are good which is why they get two stars. These folks are TURTLES! 4 Customers in line, not to mention the customers are getting the most simplest items or either picking up a cake, yet they move like we are on their time with the most stink attitudes.you obviously don’t deserve or want my money (this is why I hate supporting SOME black businesses that are located in the hood) because they walk around like we owe them something. Waited in line for 30 mins for 3 different workers to service 4 customers (not including myself because I left) and they just wanted donuts? If you plan on coming here before work, make sure you have 45min-1hr of free time before stepping in this line. The light skinned young lady & brown skin young lady w the glasses are polite to customers but whom ever the brown skin girl with the weave is that runs that register should be laid off, this is not the first time I’ve witness her having attitude with customers & myself. You never know who will enter your business.

I purchased a slice of the worst tasting coconut cake of mankind on 1/27/23! The tasteless cake was a pound cake with the tasteless icing with about a teaspoon of tasteless shredded. I will NEVER

I purchased a birthday cake it was horrible not fresh so I take it back they say nothing wrong with it normally the cake is moist inside im going back and forth with them its to bad out here to be fussing and fighting over a cake I will never come here again before the fire i never had a problem but after reopening not so good beware they nothing like they was years ago and won't own up to there mistake as in selling me a old cake im done not that they even care just take your money I was nice about it maybe the next person won't be karma a b.all of my family and friends will get this my followers everyone stay away from Denise's

Very nice black owned bakery in North Philadelphia. This place has been a legendary staple in the community for a long time and very well respected. At certain times of the week, the line can be long, but the cakes and pastries are outstanding

Last time I was here was about 20yrs ago with mom, I'm happy you guys are still there. Stopped by early for some pound cake, came home and already ate some lol glad I got two of everything. Cakes are amazing. (I'll be back again before 20 more yrs pass lol)
