Di Bruno Bros. reviews
14They do have some neat stuff. Unfortunately it is terribly over-priced and staff can be rude. Some guy who works there pushed me out of the way to re-stock a canned iced coffee
I stopped by on a whim one afternoon after the restaurant that I planned to visit was not yet open. I had never even heard of his restaurant, but apparently it’s a silly stable and I should’ve tried a long time ago. I sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails which were refreshing. We ordered the truffle gnocchi, grilled cheese, and Caesar salad. All of the dishes were excellent. The gnocchi was tasty comforting and very filling. The grilled cheese with super cheesy and paired well with the tomato soup, although I wish the sandwich was a bit larger. The Caesar salad was hands-down my favorite. It tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. I could taste all of the flavor in the dressing. I sat on the side of the bar where it was hard for the bartender to see me due to a large (espresso?) machine blocking me from view, but the bartender checked in often. Such a great experience! I’ll definitely be back in the future. I saw a few fabulous looking charcuterie plates I’d like to try next time
The food is good and the lunch specials are aways a good choice, the dessert are a tasty treat.
Roast beer sandwich with horseradish mayo and a side of home made chips. Yummy! Only 11 bucks, fed me and my son. There's tons of options for lunch and all is delicious. Kind of pricey but not by much maybe 2 or 3 dollars. Would've gave them 5 stars of they still carried corropolese tomato pies.
Nice place. "Looks authentic" tastes not so authentic. Way too expensive for what it offers.
A great store many varieties of sandwiches fish chicken salad rotisserie chicken Italian bread wine different drinks I highly recommend this store one of a kind right here in the center Philadelphia.
Love this Italian store. It's like a quick trip to Italy, you find great cheese, olive oil, wine, meat, pasta and you name it. Definitely my place to go!
The mama mia sandwich is delicious and very large. Exactly what I was looking for. Kind and helpful staff too!
I would not recommend the virtual cheese tasting. Good friends gifted us the June virtual cheese tasting. They did not communicate with us the delivery information, the date of the virtual tasting (so we missed the virtual tasting) and they shipped the cheese when we were away since they never notified us that it was coming! We were forwarded the virtual cheese tasting and it was boring and the videography was amateur at best.
Walk in today for the first time.and last.
Told I was not supposed to pick up or touch anything.in a grocery market?
I love their options for food on the go because it makes me feel better than stopping for pizza or a burger. I enjoy their homemade sandwiches the most but their crab cakes and pastries are to die for as well! They make a 'kale yea' smoothie (I add chia seeds) which keeps me going during my work day and they sell baba kombucha which is my favorite. Staff is super friendly! Come in. You'll love it.
I love Di Bruno Bros.and will continue to go here, but I'm hoping that someone on their team reads this. Di Bruno Bros.has the absolute WORST produce. If you are customer who is currently in the store, walk over to the produce and I guarantee you most of it is spoiled. I have no idea where they get this produce but it is terrible. Half of the time the produce is rotten and they charge you and arm and a leg! Like I said, I will continue to shop here but I would stay clear of the produce unless they get a different supplier.
Di Brunos is one of my favorite places to get any type of food in Philadelphia. I came across di Bruno’s when picking up an item for a work party and now go there for little items for a meal or a delicious sandwich for lunch. They have excellent ready to go meals or pastries for any occasion. I highly recommend picking up something from their bakery the next time you are there! This is a staple of Philly for a reason!
