DK Diner reviews
18This place was really good. There breakfast was very good cook just the way I wanted no complaints. The price was great I went out 6 people and spent 100$. They didn’t have room for us 6 but they made room.
The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was fast and our food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. This was our first visit there, but it won't be our last.
We had gone to a diner up the street first because it was the closest to the rink holding our tournament. We called ahead because we knew there would be at least 25 of us, and they told us it was fine, come right over. When we arrived, the waitress was incredibly rude to us, so we left, and came to DK. We called ahead for this one too.
When we arrived, we received some bewildered stares from the staff (there were definitely a little over 25 of us, and more young teens than adults), but we were seated immediately, as promised, and the staff was wonderful. We were served immediately, and the food was great. I can't remember our waitress' name, but she was so upbeat and accommodating, and the reports from the teens on the other tables' were the same. Great service, good food. We will absolutely be coming back.
Service was good, food was ok at best. First time here in 20 years. Omelet was bland. Wonder if lunch would be better.
Awesome breakfasts. I especially like the western omelette and shredded home fries (not sure how many places do shredded home fries). I've always encountered friendly people and prompt service.
Classic place with a varied, but limited menu. But that's okay because the food is good and the staff is very nice too.
I don't live in west Chester. My daughter and family live in west Chester. When I come over to their house we always go to the diner. Friendly, clean, food very good
Great spot for a quick breakfast. We enjoyed the creamed chipped beef over toast and blueberry pancakes. Bacon was cooked to perfect crispiness! Staff were friendly as well.
For diner lovers especially! Fantastic diner with that nostalgic and hometown feel. Great food at a reasonable price. Love the grits or home fries with eggs or dine on one of the area's best omlettes.
Went for breakfast with my brother a few weeks ago to try the place out. Living in West Chester I was surprised I hadn't visited sooner. Service was fast and attentive and the food was delicious! I recommend building your own breakfast wrap but their other menu items looked good as well. Transactions are cash only but don't let that stop you from enjoying this retro dining experience!
Excellent old time diner. Near Ice Line hockey rink…. Great breakfast in between games. Service was excellent and reasonable prices.
I was truly delighted to have breakfast in this charming diner! Food and service excellent! I cannot wait to try something else on their devirse menu, yum!
We have lived in the area for a few years now, and this was our first time eating here. We stopped in mid-morning for breakfast. DH had the creamed chipped beef, which he enjoyed saying there was a good amount of beef in the sauce. I had eggs with sausages, toast, and hash browns. The shredded hash browns were nice and crispy, and the sausage patties were generous in size and tasty. The restaurant was bright and clean, and the staff was friendly. We will be back.
Good, old-fashioned diner experience. I'd have to try more menu items to get a sense of what they do best. I had blueberry hotcakes, and they were good, not great. But I plan to go back.
Diner competition is rough these days because it seems like there are lots of diners and diner-like breakfast/lunch joints that have raised the bar.
Service was excellent, as was the soup. However, mashed potatoes were very runny. The hot turkey open faced sandwich I ordered. Was not hot. Slightly warm. Didn't know it was cash only. Till we paid.
Quick friendly service. Hot coffee. Had a mushroom and cheese omelet, could have been cooked a little bit longer. Onions in shredded potatoes. Loved the fact they had turkey sausage! Offers plain or cinnamon raisin bagels. Cash only establishment. Clean bathrooms. Would definitely eat here again and recommend it to people!
Went for breakfast for the first time in over a year. What a great decision! The food was spectacular and, of course, Jill is always warm and friendly:). I got eggs Benedict and the Canadian bacon was scrumptious. I love their hollandaise sauce and will order the Benedict just for it. Top that off with the great Canadian bacon and it is a perfect egg dish. My husband got steak and eggs and shared small bites of his perfectly medium rare steak with me. Not much though, he said it was too good to share. I have definitely missed DK. They are great people and Vince makes sure he keeps the standards at an A+.
Ordered Belgium waffell, not very thick, frozen NOT freshly made. They dont have a waffle maker. They heat up the frozen waffle on the grill, not very warm or good. Ordered freshly cooked bacon got ready made greasy bacon. And CASH only, only notice is on the cash register so if you dont stop there, you dont know it's cash only. Won't be back.
