Dog Training Center of Chester County reviews
7I have taken the kindergarten puppy training in the past and we had playtime and fun obstacles for the puppies. The write up on the website calls this class “Kindergarten puppy training and socialization”, it will “teach your puppy to meet and interact with people and other puppies using games and supervised play sessions”. Well, this class was mostly listening to the instructor. The puppies were not allowed to get near each other, there was no play sessions, or games with the puppies. I signed up to socialize my puppy but we both came away bored. I will not sign up for any other classes.
Great dog training school and instructor Scott Sensenig is one of the best. I have been training my dogs with him since 1989!
I've taken a number of classes at the Dog Training Center of Chester County and hope to take many more. There is always so much to learn and the instructors create a really great environment for training and bring a wealth of experience to the classes.
DTCCC is the place to train! My terriers and I have been coming here for 15 years. From basic classes with Scott Sensenig to NoseWork with Ruth Cionca, and classes with other great instructors, it's been an excellent experience. And that's a lot for a Mini Schnauzer owner to say because terriers are smart but not the easiest to train!
Attending classes at DTCCC and practicing at home has turned my current rescue Mini into a much happier dog and so much easier to have as a member of our family and the community.
Unlike some other local training I've been to, the facility is spacious so the dogs have room to spread out. There is lots of parking. And very caring, well educated instructors that know what they are doing.
Beyond disappointed with DTCCC. Stay away from Scott Sensening. Scott failed to give instructions or any expectations then was overly aggressive, demeaning & bashes literally every move you make & every word you say. The facility itself has poor communication and lacks structure. You’re lucky if you get a confirmation email after enrolling & paying for a class. Two instructors argued throughout class over what techniques should be used. Stay away from this place. After going through 13 weeks of training at this facility I was consistently stuck in classes with at least one obnoxious/out of control dog that takes away from the rest of class. The trainers favor & will always use half-witted labs that the trainer can easily dominate as their examples.
We have learned so much. Our instructor is a great guy, really know his stuff!
