Dogwood Acres Campground, Inc. reviews
19 We loved this campground! The idea of having campers already on the lots for rent is genus! We traveled from Michigan to attend the Corvette show in Carlisle PA and picked to stay at dogwood acres, and it was the perfect spot! We rented lot 73 the camper was clean and well kept, the campgrounds was quiet and peaceful and centrally located. Christine was so helpful with showing us the best route to the car show and advice on places to eat. We even had an issue with the camper at 1am and she came right over and helped! Very friendly staff, great environment, we loved it and will be back next time we come thru PA!

A very well maintained campground. Very friendly staff. Has lots of space and is full of permanent renters. A large lake for fishing and a snack bar close to the pool.much more.
We had an amazing time. Although the staff deserve a vacation, they treated us like family. The site we were own had their camper. It was site 2 right behind the office. Even the fishing in their pond was great. Thank you for an amazing time. We will be back!
Very nice campground and very friendly staff. This was our fourth visit and the staff makes you feel like you are part of their family. We will continue to go back once or twice a year. We really like the number and variety of books available in their rec room.
An overall nice campground. Very helpful staff. Sites are all gravel. In fact they have graveled pretty much everything. Lots of shade on most sites. Sites that bump up on the woods around the edge see ideal. The wifi was good along with power, water and sewer hookups and have playgrounds and swimming pool for the kids. They charge $7 per person for guests. We’ve not seen that before. Cumberland County and Carlisle are beautiful parts of the country.
We have been here several times and always look forward to returning. Staff and owners really helpful and friendly. Beautiful pool, nice dog park, and pond. Great game room.
This is a very friendly campground that is very customer satisfaction oriented. This is our first experience here but will probably not be our last! Very clean and very quiet.
Lots of activities for everyone! Clean and staff is friendly. Camp store has great selections, the pool is refreshing, and the Snack Shack is great too.
Me and my sons had a great time here. People were very friendly help us out with extension cord and some wood nice playground nice basketball court and very friendly guest highly recommend coming here.
Awesome - they made me feel like part of their own family. It was a perfect break from my drive back north from Florida. As a newer camper I got some great tips from a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They even helped me plan the next leg of my trip. Their store was well equipped as well, having the parts I needed to fix my hot water tank! I definitely recommend staying here, I know I'll be back in the fall as I head back south!
We just pulled out of Dogwood Acres this morning. This was our first stay there. We really enjoyed the stay. The owners and staff were great. On day one we had an issue with an LP Gas hose. They didn’t have what we needed but they called a local RV repair shop and the guy waited till I got their even though it was closing time. One of Dogwood’s maintenance guys went with me to make sure I got there ok. That meant a lot especially in today’s climate. Beautiful facility snd very well kept. Will definitely be back! Thanks again.
Enjoyed spending the Easter weekend at Dogwood Acres. It is a quiet, serene setting. There is beautiful pond that you can fish at, playground, pool and many other amenities. They hosted Easter egg hunt for both kids and adults. Our site was spacious and backed to woods and a small stream. We were in site 70. We did lose power several times. However, it would come back on after 30 sec or a minute. This time it was not an inconvenience for us as we weren't using heater or ac. The owner suspected that our surge protector may be bad. Regardless we had a great time and would recommend it. It is a beautiful campground and the owner and staff are helpful and friendly.
Awesome group of seasonal campers,
During the new camping season, you create new friendships and strengthen your old friendships.
We loved our recent week long visit at Dogwood Acres Campground. Kristin the campground manager was very accommodating, with giving me a gate access card to come back to the campground late at night after coming back from work in Newark. Lucille and Charlie the owners of the campground are very much involved with the activities each day and have a Military-9/11 memorial/honor room there in the main club house that is beautiful. The campground is extremely clean, quiet, and family oriented. Our 2 year old loved their huge playground in the center of the park and it too was very clean, no spider webs or trash on the equipment. The park is surrounded by beautiful family farms with pumpkins, corn, and apple orchards. Kristin at the front office has so much information about the local area that there is something for everyone. We went to an old frozen custard shop one night and an apple orchard and sunflower farm the next day. If you have any doubt about staying here, don't. This is a very clean family oriented pet friendly, RV resort that offers something for everyone.
It was so much fun! Clean! They were extremely strict on safety! The pool was clean and looked brand new! Our sites were huge and no close neighbors! All campers were so friendly! I definitely would go back if we wanted a permanent (or seasonal) site. This location isn't really for to many weekenders.
This campground is awesome we had a great time this summer going up every weekend. The owners and staff are so nice want to thank them so much for a wonderful summer. The grounds are well kept and very clean. Kristen was wonderful we loved the tye dye tee shirts with her!:) And breakfast was the best! Looking forward to coming next year! Very family oriented!
We stayed for the first time from Sunday to Wednesday in our Motorhome.first campground that we got the personal touch.they take you to your site and assist you in when needed.well maintained campground, very friendly folks.we loved the scenery, the quiet days and nights. The campground is user friendly, easy to walk around, a beautiful lake. We look forward to coming back for another camping adventure.
This campground has become a family favorite! The owners, Kristin, Lucille & Charlie are some of the most accommodating people! The weekends are filled with activities for all ages, the pool is awesome, disc golf is different, playground is perfect for children & the store has everything you forgot! Been there nearly 10 times in the last 2 years even with the 5 hour drive! Highly recommend
Great family fun! Started going this year, couldn't believe how much to do up here. Fishing, very clean pool, game room with every board game imaginable. Playground, basketball court and boats for the pond all available. Plus ice cream shop! Got to try it for yourself.
